Planet Fitness — Attraction in St. Louis

Don't ever go to planet fitness how they treat you is an absolute joke. Chippewa St Louis Missouri. A month after joining up to planet fitness I had been robbed they stole my bag and wallet out of the locker room. Why they can't find out who's robbing the place is because it's the employees are robbing The customers. Its an inside job. The employee at the desk after being robbed had asked what was my social security number that it was part of the investigation for planet fitness I guess they think everyone's not very smart. The guy at the counter wanted that information so he could start up accounts in my name that I would be liable for. Somebody had came in and sat down in the seats in the front they had said they just came there to pay their phone bill the planet fitness employee had went up to him and handed him something (I'm guessing my wallet) and he left to go on a spending spree to multiple locations, while the counter person for planet fitness kept insisting I shouldn't go anywhere because they will steal my car (probably to distract me to take more of my money)

I had quickly closed down My bank account and a few days later planet fitness pulled money out of my closed account. So now I owe $65 of late fees plus the annual membership fee of $50 that shouldn't have been charged yet. because I could not access and get things changed over in a few days. I asked if under the circumstances they could waive those fees as I was unable to change my banking information before they charged my monthly fee. The messed up thing is they are supposed to take the annual fee after 2 months of being in a membership I suppose they took My annual fee at 35 days because they figure I would cancel their membership after being robbed. So in reality I got robbed twice once by the crook and once by planet fitness. They just all started giggling and trying to hide it. I had them get a manager above them and they said under the circumstances there's nothing they can do. I would have to pay all these fines myself. I had asked why should I continue my membership what have you done to increase security. And received no good answer. I canceled my membership and will be finding elsewhere to go.

Planet fitness had told the police I didn't have a lock on the locker so planet fitness policy is to blame the victim to resolve them of liability. I put a lock on my locker every time I left it. The manager at planet fitness told me I wouldn't have gotten robbed if I had a lock on the locker.

I had took a look at 40 other reviews of other people complaining about cars and lockers being broken in to so they apparently do not care about their customers security.

I think I was unfairly treated who do I call or talk to to straighten this...

First, the staff are what makes the place. They are amazing. I'd like to call out Saleh, Hasan, Kayla and Stephanie. The newer crew is also great. What is not great is the management. I was told to reach out to the corporate office with my comments or concerns and I have NEVER received a response back over the last 2 years. I had my purse stolen from a locker a few weeks back and trying to get the footage that night was impossible. I scared the thief with my yelling and they threw it into another locker later, which meant they were still on premises. We could have figured out who took it that night, but staff doesn't have access to the cameras - they had to call a manager. I was told I 'forgot' which locker I used, that's why we found it an hour later - I chose a specific locker. SO grateful for Saleh and Kayla who helped calmed me. I sent a note praising the team and sharing my concerns about what happened, and they NEVER responded. I've seen car windows broken into several times. They've also had personal trainers then pulled them 3 times. I've asked about that and no one has responded. The rotating store managers over the years have mostly been good, but they move on so quickly because they get no support. I've been looking at other gyms since management literally does not care. In the past, I would have recommended this gym, now I would say to find...

I'm really tired of the way the who I think is the manager ya know the short stubby sharp mouthed died red hair who is the friendliest of friendly to whom she wants as I listen to her speak to most that come but yet EVERY TIME she ever has to speak to me I never get the welcome she gives most especially the men. I mean when I didn't have my phone and one of the other teammate already had me in for a hydro message she cut me and the other teammate off and rudely asked what's your number so she could check to see if I was a black spa member even saying under her breath I doubt it . Then she seen I was and says OH WOW um ok. . I mean what the heck is all that extra for. SHE NEVER SPEAKS TO ME UNLESS ITS RUDELY. I met 2 people since I've been here promoting the gym they now go to because they have canceled their membership here because of her funny acting atittude and sharp tongue making them feel uncomfortable. I mean does she have her own insecurities idk but that's not the way you run a business in customer service. She definitely needs not just customer service communication training but a little common curiosity training wouldn't hurt her either...
