Have a young daughter who I absolutely adore... I can't help but want to buy everything for her...and that's what I intended on doing when I walked in... That is until I was totally ignored and disregarded by one of the staff members (older gentleman).
I'm off from work and dressed down... But very capable of making purchases.
I walked around the store, unapproached (there was a younger guy looking bored behind the counter), and left.
I didn't judge the store for being non visible from the main road and down a hill, tucked in the rear of a parking lot. Nor, did I judge the store of having an odor similar to a damp basement. I still even didn't judge the store for being ultra cramped and categorically disorganized.
However, because I was wearing sweatpants and shades, I was deemed a waste of time or potential shoplifter.
Sad, because with a simple courtesy, I would have made some purchases.
I guess these folks are unfamiliar with the concept of people buying toys online.
Customer service goes a long way, guys. Good luck.

I visited the store and gave it another chance.
Much different experience. Greeted, was engaged and offered suggestions.
Didn't have what I was looking for, but still wound up making some purchases.
Customer service and valuing your patrons makes a difference.

Not even the employees knew what was going on. For context; I was tried out for two days and did completely fine besides needing to throw on a collared shirt.(but I wouldnt know , I wasnt told how I did , or even when to come back) Then I was ghosted , for two weeks. I put off other jobs for this job, because I like the store. Keep in mind , Ive been told already I have the job and am waiting for the schedule , which NO employee had to that point. That was the last response before the owners email back finally , which I had to message the whole store to get his attention.
