On behalf of my buddy Spot, I'm sure this park has it's "busy" times possibly mornings and evenings since it's summer. I stopped during the afternoon and it was pretty dead here. I was passing thru Stillwater and my buddy needed a place to spent some energy and handle his business.
The dog park is smaller than other dog parks I've been to, it has several shaded areas and benches throughout the fenced in dog park. They have two areas for your furry friends to play in based on size of dog (30lbs and below has a small fenced area. Over 30lbs has the large sized fenced in.)
I only saw a doggy bowl in the large playpen, the smaller doesn't feature this but I suppose a handy bowl to help transport to the other side is tolerable. No fountains for the owners/child to drink from so with that being said, make sure to bring your water bottles.
The large playpen features a large dirt patch. I can only imagine how bad it'll look after it pours the night before.
They have a total of 4 baseball style "player huts," fenced and connected to the playpens. Allows you to unleash your dog before going into the playpen with your buddy. Plus side, it's shaded.
The downside to all of this is, it doesn't feature a fenced in shower station. So I assume after incliment weather, the dog park is usually not used until it dries up. If this is the only fenced in Dog Park for dogs in Stillwater then that means your furry friends will need to go a day or two without any fun and socialing experience.
All in all, under different times, I'm sure my boy Spot will ate this dog park 4 out of...
Read moreOn July 23, 2019 my friends and I went to the dog park with our dogs, it was ok for the time we were there but upon leaving, my dog and I were attacked by a very large doberman. My dog, Jasper, was on his leash while we were walking towards the exit when said doberman came and attacked him. Jasper was getting hurt and moved, then the doberman came and attacked me personally, latching onto my index finger. Since the incident, we’ve been unable to find the owner. I have been going to multiple doctors since then and am now scheduled for a surgery to remove some bone from my finger after fighting a bone infection caused by the bite. To protect your dog and yourself, please keep your eyes open for this Doberman and his female owner (late 40’s to mid 50’s).
If you are the owner, please respond to this comment so that we can...
Read morePros- -community is very friendly, most people regardless of size use the massive “large dog” lot and even dogs as little as 10 pounds have interacted with local huskies with no issues. -The water is working as of this review. (June 2022) -Plenty of poop bags -the dirt is still prevalent but has gotten “better” Cons- -holes are everywhere and you have to watch your step as you go around the lot. -The benches are pretty sporadic and not well shaded -water has been known not to work sometimes. I’m not sure if it’s a winter deal or there was issues in the past, but it’s not guaranteed. -no obstacles or any other interactive stuff. Just...
