I was there last week and purchased 4 chicks. One diamond duchess, one Wyandotte and two Sicilian buttercups. I was told all pullets. When I called before I got there I was told â we only carry pullets.â Okay great. The Sicilian buttercups are in fact NOT Sicilian Buttercups but Old English Bantams and one is a rooster. When I called up there they told me they donât return or exchange life animals.. okay great Iâll keep them figure out what to do with the rooster, but I paid for an elite breed and you sold me something that is not what I was told I was getting. The assistant manager just kept going âyeahhh, mmmhmm, okayyy.. welll I canât refund you because you have the chickens.â So I told her paid extra for the âelite breedâ and then I asked if I could bring them in and just get refunded the difference? Again it was âyeahhh, hmmm oh I seee.â âWell the store manager is here tomorrow sooo you can call then.â What is the point of being an assistant manager if you canât make executive decisions when the manager is not present.â I work tomorrow and I wonât be able to be there by 4. I will call tomorrow, but Iâm very upset at how she handled this phone call. She suggested I come up and they can show me what Sicilian buttercups are.. no I know what they are now, I was told that this is what they are when I got them.. I understand I canât return them but I would like my money at least refunded.. she also suggested I call their bird supplier to get a bird from them⊠posted below are the two sold to me that I was told were the birds.    Read moreWe came to this store to purchase 1,500 feet of agricultural fencing, along with posts and the miscellaneous items needed for installation. Our first interaction was great â the gentleman we spoke with explained he wasnât in charge of ordering these supplies but would pass our information along to the woman who handled it.
We soon received a call back, my husband was happy with the quoted price, and he told her we wanted to proceed. She said she would hold our order and once we came in to pay, she would submit it.
This is where things went from great customer service to mediocrity. We headed into the store that same evening, but when we told the customer service desk we wanted to pay for our order, we were met with blank stares. We were told, âHold on, let me get a manager.â The manager was also unsure of what to do and had to reach out to the woman who handles the ordering. Eventually, they sorted it out, we paid, and left.
When the order arrived, we got a call saying it was ready for pickup. I explained we would be there Sunday or, at the latest, Monday. She assured us everything was there and we could pick it up at our convenience.
We arrived Monday to pick up the order â but it was far from ready. Rather than having everything staged on a couple of pallets for easy loading, we had to wait while they broke down other pallets to piece together our order. The woman helping us did her best, but my husband ended up hand-loading all 188 fence posts himself because they didnât remove 12 from the pallet they had.
Luckily, weâre still young enough to manage that, but what would have happened if we werenât? This could have easily been avoided with better...
   Read moreWent in (11/8) to purchase something from their sales ad that had a $20 rebate. They were out of stock but said it would be in on Friday (11/10). They didn't want me to pay for it on 11/8 and said I should pay for it when I pick it up. I stopped to check and see if it was in on 11/10 because I was in the area and it wasn't in yet. On 11/18, they finally called and I picked it up. They did not give me the rebate information so I went back in on 11/21 to get rebate information which took them forever to find. When I got home, I read the form and the rebate is only good for purchases made between 11/7 and 11/12. Since my receipt is dated 11/18, I can't get the rebate. Spoke to a manager who said they couldn't do anything about it. Returning the item tonight. All kinds of things they could have done to keep a customer, but I'm done with them.
Update - Store manager did contact me. Offered me $20 off next time I come in. That does nothing to get me the product that was on sale at the price it was advertised. The offer to correct the issue doesn't even get me back to what they offered, let alone compensate me for the inconvenience. I won't even go in to get...
