My son attended Childtime - Sweetwater for approximately one year. Some of the caregivers were very loving and nurturing to my infant/toddler, however is there is a high turnover rate amongst the caregivers, especially in the infant 1 room in the afternoon. In my opinion the center is more of a glorified daycare and not an educational based program. There were countless times when I picked up my son, he had been placed in a high chair as the caregiver was cleaning up the room. I certainly did not pay $287 a week so that my son could be babysat by a high chair. During this one year, I received a high number of incident reports. From my son being bit by another child on multiple occasions, to him falling and biting through his tongue, to a fall that required stitches. The straw that finally broke the camels back is when I picked my son up and noticed clear nail marks on his forearm, as if someone had grabbed his arm and dug their nails into his skin. The nail marks appeared to me to be the size of an adult hand. I instantly spoke with the director about the marks, but no explanation could be given. I immediately removed him from the center. When I was contacted by the district manager, she stated that they would be investigating and inspecting the equipment to see what could have caused the injury... I could save her the time, because it is clearly a matter of whom and not what. I did not care for the director Lynn and judging by her attitude towards me, the feeling was certainly mutual. I found her to be rude and condescending. I certainly would not recommend...
Read moreMy experience is only with infant room 1. My son has been going there for about 9 months now. There is a couple of things I want to address in the other reviews: High turnover rate in the afternoons: I don’t know what they are talking about, I’ve seen mostly the same people the entire time. Ms. Paola tone of voice?: come on now, I’ve spent so much time at the front desk area, and the kids love her. She greets everyone kindly by name. I have no idea how she remembers everyone’s name. I’ve never seen her or Ms. Hosai be rude to anyone.
My own reviews: The app is great, there is so much oversight that there is no room for error Initially I was upset about how cold the room was but I do realize it’s set at a temp to prevent pesky illnesses. I just mitigate it by dressing my kid warmly They are so loving, I initially worried my kid wouldn’t get any attention but they are incredibly attentive I’ve had to wait in the lobby in the evenings multiple times because they ask if they could do the last feeding/another diaper change. They could’ve just pushed those task on me but they take the care part very seriously.
We (my wife and I) take our baby’s care very seriously and childtime is very responsive to any of the things we...
Read moreI cannot say enough amazing things about ChildTime- my children have been there since infancy and I can honestly say the staff is like our second family now.
Firstly, the review mentioning Ms. Paola being rude is an absolute lie. Myself and other parents at the school regularly discuss how much we adore the admin team and how blessed we are to have Ms. Paola as a director.
Every teacher at the school knows both of my children by name, most can offer a funny story almost everyday about an interaction they have had with my children, and my kids regularly insist on saying bye to their favorite teachers each day even though they aren’t in some of their classes anymore. When I think about what I want in a childcare environment- it is that I want my children to be loved on when I can’t be there- and that is EXACTLY what ChildTime offers. Not to mention the amazing curriculum.
When my son was going through a separation anxiety phase, everyone worked with me to make sure we were all comfortable. No one pressured me to just leave him upset, they just asked how they could help.
Sending your child to daycare is such a hard thing, but sending them to Childtime of sweetwater makes a hard thing...
