This is my first time at this place my sister and my parents really enjoyed eating at this place most of the time we would order our food to go and take it home to eat but then sometime we go to this restaurant and eat dinner and order all these delicious foods:-)! I recommend their Thai chicken wing you could have any of these Thai food a special orders in your way if you cannot handle the spiciness we love their Thai Patty noodles with peanuts and fresh raw bean sprouts it was a huge plate and worth every penny of it and it was so delicious and we also enjoy eating their fish Patty which is fried and tasty for appetizer we also ordered for main course eggplant mixed vegetables and scallop and shrimp skewer grill with mix vegetables and it also comes with a Bowl of wheat rice and we also enjoyed very much and very very tasty Curry sauce with potato chicken :-)! All the main course dishes that we ordered was so big enough to share for four people if you are a moderate eater but if you eat like a bird going to be alot too much Foods:-)! Their Thai tea is the ultimately the best because it is served in a glass mug and it is so tasty:-)! They have unique decoration in this restaurant they have a very unique painting on the wall and part of it is trim with gold painting and a traditional ceiling fan but made of cloth and very unique ceiling lights which I never seen in any restaurant a very unique way of designs :-)! They have this two plaques that's made of iron like if it's especially carved in a unique way of the Thai designs:-)! They do have different type of dessert to select and to choose from but unfortunately our waiter did not pay attention to us enough and trying to rush us out and did not bother to ask us if we want dessert so since they didn't care for our business we decided to go to La Madelaine French Cuisine and Bakery to order desserts there which to eat :-)! I believe that the owner need to retrain their Waiters to pay more attention to the customers and not having a bunch of different waiters to wait on one table because we have to flag different waiter down many times to take care of us :-(! Even though this happened to us I'm hoping that if you all try this restaurants that you would have a better service but the food you will not be disappointed hopefully :-)! I hope you all will...
Read moreMy wife and I finally made it to Thai Cottage in Sugar Land after living in the area for nearly 15 years. We stopped in for dinner after a high school open house, and overall it was a great first experience.
We started with water, iced tea, Tom Kha with shrimp, and the Wings of Paradise. The Tom Kha soup was flavorful and served hot, though I found it a little light on the coconut flavor. The Wings of Paradise, on the other hand, were amazing—crispy on the outside, with a special garlic-basil sauce that made them unforgettable.
For entrées, we shared the Three Taste Fish Fillet, crab fried rice (medium heat), and Pad See Ew with beef. The fish was fried perfectly golden with a light panko-style batter, but a bit bland on its own—the sauce with onions, carrots, and bell peppers more than made up for it. The crab fried rice was a highlight with generous chunks of crab and just the right spice level. The Pad See Ew had that classic smoky wok flavor with flat noodles, Chinese broccoli, and egg—exactly how I like it.
The decor was inviting, light in color with touches of greenery. It’s not overly fancy but well done for a strip-center spot. The dining area is spacious with comfortable seating, and there’s a small bar in the back. Service was friendly, and my wife gave the place a thumbs up as well.
Overall, Thai Cottage is definitely worth a visit. We’ll be coming back again soon—especially for those wings and...
Read moreI recently had dinner at Thai Cottage in Sugar Land, and it was an enjoyable dining experience from start to finish.
Chicken Rolls: The chicken rolls were light and crispy, with a savory filling that paired perfectly with the dipping sauce. It was a great appetizer to start the meal.
Fried Rice: The fried rice was tasty and cooked just right. The seasoning was spot on, and the portions were generous. I appreciated that it wasn’t overly greasy, making it a hearty and flavorful dish without being too heavy.
Pad Kee Mao: The Pad Kee Mao, also known as Drunken Noodles, was the standout dish of the night. The noodles were soft and chewy, soaking up the rich sauce. The dish had a pleasant spiciness that lingered just enough to keep things interesting without overwhelming the palate.
Yellow Curry with Shrimp: The yellow curry was a comforting and creamy dish with tender shrimp swimming in a mildly spiced coconut curry sauce. The shrimp were fresh, and the curry itself was rich and satisfying, with flavors that balanced well together.
The service was efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. If you’re in the Sugar Land area and craving some solid Thai food, Thai Cottage is definitely...
