A friend said she had some Yeti tumblers engraved there, so I brought one in that I'd bought at Academy (should've bought it @ Magpies ~ better price). My friend used the wrong word. Magpies monograms them w/ vinyl lettering that comes in various fonts, styles, colors, etc. It cost a mere $10. When the VERY helpful sales lady rang me up, she included the Yeti. I explained that I've been carrying it around for days & had bought it elsewhere. Some store employees would give you the stink eye. She believed me w/o me having to show the Academy receipt & took it off the invoice. Trust is a nice thing to see these days. Oh. Since Yetis are not supposed to go in the dishwasher (too much hair, I guess?) the lettering has a great reputation for staying in place. I was so lucky to have arrived when I did because by the time I left, the checkout line was out the door. There are oodles of lovely gifts & they clearly have a loyal customer base. I will definitely be back to browse, purchase, & get 2 more Yetis...
Read moreAwesome customer service! I called this location today looking for a tote they had 2 plus years ago. The lady listened to my description and tried to find it in the store. After she searched the store she couldn’t find what I mentioned but gave me brands to look at online and even referenced the website. The call ended and I went on my search. Then a few minutes later she called me back to let me know they checked the system and found the tote I described. They no longer carry it but she gave me the name brand and I was able to search it and locate one. Thank you so much!!!...

I was looking for Brighton jewelry and was browsing for a full 10 minutes- NO ONE greeted me, much less asked if I needed any help. Should it be the customer’s responsibility to fend for themselves in a high end establishment? Guess so. I left.
