Honestly, I love Olive Garden. But this was the worst experience I have had.
It started with the server being damn rude. He didn’t make any eye contact, threw the water coasters at us, and asked us if we need water. We asked for plain water without ice, and the never ending sauce. He made a face at us and ultimately ended bringing two breadsticks and water with ice.
We let it ho thinking he might be having a bad day. But then he comes and asks us if we are ready to order. We asked for a few more minutes, and he mumbles ofcourse and takes the digital device with the menu and goes away. After that, he came again and we ordered spaghetti, and some more breadsticks. He is like, sure, in a sarcastic manner and then doesn’t even look at us and instead says, there are none available.
We were like okay whatever. But I started noticing his behaviour with other tables, these were white and hispanic people and he was polite to them, greeted them, even gave a smile. But with south east Asians, he kept making faces, mumbling and just being outright rude.
I contemplated about leaving the place, but then I still kept my calm and patience. He comes with some breadsticks and the salad. As a regular at Olive garden I know cheese comes along with it. He went away, so when he came back, we said, “Can we get some grated cheese on the top ?”. He says, No, you need to tell me “Please”. You should learn to say”Please” , only then I will give you anything. This was my last straw. I am a customer, I am trying to be as polite as I can , saying thank you for every time he brought us water and everything. And why would I say please for something that comes along with your food and he is supposed to offer me, why should I beg for cheese at an Olive Garden?
I found that man utterly rude and asked for a change in the server. The people post that, manager and the new server were great. No complaints over there. But this was not acceptable. He also messed up our order. Instead of spaghetti he ended up ringing in angel hair pasta. But at this point I was fed up, and didn’t want to stand up for that as well. So I ate that and left.
I had never experienced such a thing in USA, never thought I will be treated like this, but well, it finally did. My first experience and a...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer since the day it has open :-)! Too bad it does not give Senior Citizens Discount or AARP discount:-(! But, the food is always delicious :-)! The place is very clean :-)! They has 4 separate section that you could eat at and you could also eat where the bar area is:-)! Not always but sometimes they would give you samples of the wines you could taste :-)! I just love their fruity drink mixed with a little alcohol but at the same time even regular not alcoholic drink like raspberry lemonade is delicious and healthy and what's a wonderful they have sodas too where there is free refill:-)! Sometime they have the special where is there is unlimited pasta to eat and I love the new creation of lasagna of Anyway You Want It eating chicken or shrimp and meatballs or cheese lasagna selection :-)! I also love their selection of dessert :-)! What's even more wonderful unlimited bread salad or soup which is soup comes with 4 different flavors and selection :-)! This place is always very clean and luckily they have more than one hostess to wait on you to sit at the table you desire:-)! I do admit they need to have the waiter or waitress to pay more attention to your table frequently and hire more waiter and waitresses for each section :-(! The manager is really great to visit our table to make sure everything is fine and he is very friendly :-) and concerned :-)! There are plenty of parking there for everyone even if your disable :-)! This is the only Olive Garden that I know that is huge place to eat at and to celebrate your events and meeting and parties:-)! This place is very clean when it comes with no smell and the whole place is spotless not like the one at the Olive Garden on 59 Southwest Freeway it is kind of musky and moldy and sour smell and the carpets looks old and it feels humid inside :-(! But, besides that the prices is reasonable not too expensive :-)! I hope that you all enjoyed the delicious Italian food at...
Read moreCalled to place (2) to go order at around 6:30 pm Last night and after sitting on hold and sitting on hold I was told it would take an Hour for pick up orders. I said thanks but no thanks and decided to call their location over off I-10 and Bunker Hill. 20 Minutes! From the time they took my order until I picked it up and it was waiting on me when I arrived. And EVERYTHING was as I ordered and the meal (Chicken Alfredo & Salad's) were great! Good service, good attitude, and very good food.
Restaurant owners aren't the only ones struggling, so are your customer's. At $4.00 + per gallon, families are not going out as much and when they do they they want a good meal, at a good value and they want their orders to be CORRECT when they get home.
I refuse to go back to the location off SW FRWY (59 South near gessner ) because before covid I asked about an advertised offer " To go " and was very rudely told by the manager that " I could NOT order ( The advertised special ) unless I ate in the restaurant". And the meal was for a family member that I was taking to meals to. It Amazes me how that location & similar restaurants with that same attitude actually survived. Today they are advertising like crazy for our business, Yet they are still giving Wrong Orders, Missing items, poorly cooked, or THE WORST SERVICE!
Update: 07-09-22
Maybe restaurants should spend as much time in advance of receiving a poor review as they want to do after ( in private ) by sending you a message asking to email them to discuss the issues.
The reason people post reviews is to inform others of the treatment they received before others spend $$$ to ALSO receive poor service. If you get "ProActive" about your own business or accept the reviews and fix the problems, you will see the reviews reflect the issues...
