Great shopping center for a small coastal community. This shopping center has a variety of shops and resturants, with the flagship store being the Fooslion. This Foodlion is huge with a big selection of products spacious isles not all crammed together. The store is very clean as the isles are scrubbed daily/nightly by a floor cleaner. The atmosphere is calm and laid back even though it can get pretty busy at times, especially Saturdays and Sundays, during the summer check-in/Check-out day for Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach, respectively. This location still gets busy but not as busy as it was at one point. The addition of several other grocery stores in the area took away from their business and evened things out a little. At one point, this location was open 24 hours year round, which went to seasonal; I am not sure if they still are open 24 hour anytime seasonal not. The shopping center in general is very clean and well kept. It is visited by a property management company daily for parking lot trash/cigarette but pick up, trash containers checked. General cleaning around the shopping center even includes spider web removal from the wall roof and corners. The property management company also handles the landscaping for the entire shopping center I worked for the property management company. I know what this shopping center expects and demands and that they will accept no less than the best. This shopping center has cubed/bagged ice dispensers. There are quite a few stores in this shopping center, a gas station/ convenience store, an ABC liquor store, beachwear store, candy store, Food Lion of corse. A Mexican restaurant, Papa Johns, a real estate office, dentist office, therapist/psychologist, a physical therapy office, a subway, a couple of gift shops, thrift stores, and consignment shops. The local telephone/cable internet provider has an office in this shopping center, there is a book store here with a fax machine available for public use at a reasonable price, and finally an Italian restaurant. There are apartments and townhouses built as part of the shopping center and around Ingram Planetarium. During the summer months, they have concerts; at one time, they would have them weekly weather permitting, i think due to funding, they were not able to book as many artist and groups for shows. I am not sure the exact frequency of shows as of current. But I know they have some good shows with good groups the Embers play there every year. It is enjoyable to come out to watch a show with good music and have a drink or two grab some food from the resturants close by or refreshments from the vendor stations set up. I can't wait for the concerts to start...
