LBI Table — Restaurant in Ship Bottom

First of all, the service wasn't just good, it was impeccable. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, seated shortly, had a cup of coffee within seconds, but I wasn't rushed or anything. At one point I dropped my knife on the floor, I didn't even think anyone saw, and about 15 seconds later I had a new one at my table. Waitress was fantastic, but the reason I reluctantly took off a star is cause the food was quite disappointing. Since everything else was so on point I'll chalk it up to a bad day in the kitchen, and I'll give them another chance and will update this if/when things change, but I ordered a waffle with mixed berries and it wasn't very good at all. The waffle was very doughy, no crunch to it, no powered sugar or anything, just an undercooked piece of dough with little taste and zero character. The stawberries didn't seem that fresh and we're just ok, and the blueberries were soft and I had to go through them individually cause a few of them still had the stem on them. Coffee was good, didn't get halfway empty before someone came to refill, and again, service was exceptional. Just wish the main event wasn't so...

Quite the pleasant surprise. If you are like me, a fan of the Big Breakfast with Hotcakes at McDonald's, then you have got to try the sausage patties, homemade biscuits and pancakes 🥞 at LBI Table. They are absolutely delicious. Just thinking about them as I write this review is making my mouth water. The biscuits are so warm, soft and fluffy, they literally just come apart as you eat them. The pancakes are just flat out good. Needless to say we really enjoyed our breakfast. Prices were reasonable, about $10-$15 per person, that includes the tip. The staff was quick, nice and attentive. They do have a kids menu for the little ones. The location is convenient, just a few blocks off the bridge when you get onto the island. The restaurant itself has very much an ocean vibe / beach theme going. They keep the eating area very neat, tidy and clean. My only complaint is I wish the restroom was as well kept/clean as the restaurant. Nonetheless, loved the place and look forward to visiting again...

Saw LBI TABLE on line in searching for breakfast on LBI. I always read reviews of places I search and likewise for this one. Not that all reviews can be trusted but they give some idea about a place. It had many good reviews so my family and I went. It DID NOT disappoint!! First we called for reservations since the island gets very crowded, but only placed on wait list what i recommend you do. Restaurant keeps you abreast of the time you should arrive. Trish the waitress was friendly, helpful and cheerful, mind you it was very busy on a Sunday morning. The menu had so many delicious options and the portions are large, can be shared. Jim, one of the owners, was friendly and even remembered my name as we were leaving, the reservation was in my name. I told him I was very pleased with the restaurant and the reviews didn't disappoint. I will visit again and if you want a good restaurant, make LBI...
