Love coming here! Mostly everything is affordable. Produce is good quality, but I would be careful of the sale berries - sometimes there's mold hidden in there. Thawed seafood is fresh, and the fish mongers are nice! There's so much variety of seafood, both fresh and frozen. Meat department is good too - you can find everything from chicken wings to whole rabbit. This market is predominantly Korean, but you can find some Indonesian, Thai, and European goodies too. This is the only place nearby where I can get smelt, chicken hearts, and other organ meats, not just for myself but for my dogs. One half of the store is filled with snacks and prepared foods, which keeps me coming back too! My only complaint is the parking lot. It's a Level-10 video game quest to find parking during the weekends, or at least squeeze through the tight roads.

I drove to Assi at 8:50pm to buy 1 item. It was 10 minutes before they closed as it on Google. The entrance was locked, so I called, and they picked up the phone. I asked them that I needed to get 1 item and go. They said I needed to arrive 15 minutes before the close time. All registers are closed, but many people are exiting with plastic bags. 🤔 It was not just me. There were 2 other families trying to get the food on the dinner table. I don't see any store policy on the front door that all customers must be inside 15 minutes before closed time. Waste my time coming to Assi Market. Btw. The male manager hung up on me. Unprofessional.

I am a frequent visitor to Assi Market in Suwanee, drawn by the combination of competitive prices and quality products, particularly their fresh produce and variety of fresh fish. On my recent visit, I purchased several items, including 5 lemons for $1.99, a 5 lb bag of Idaho potatoes for $3.49, and a 3 lb bag of yellow onions for $2.49. Overall, my shopping experience was positive, with one exception.

During checkout, a non-Asian cashier accidentally rang up a single radish as a box of persimmons, resulting in an overcharge of over $20.00. Fortunately, I diligently reviewed the receipt and noticed the mistake. When I brought it to the cashier's attention, she seemed unaware of her error. Thankfully, she promptly called over a Korean cashier who quickly rectified the mistake. However, I was disappointed by the lack of an apology for the inconvenience caused by the initial error.

This incident highlights the importance of not only focusing on competitive prices and product quality but also ensuring that cashiers possess a good understanding of the items they are selling, particularly when unfamiliar with non-Asian products. Additionally, a friendly and service-oriented approach, coupled with the willingness to apologize when mistakes occur, can greatly enhance the overall customer experience.

Based on my recent encounter, I believe Assi Market should prioritize improving the quality of their cashiers, ensuring they possess knowledge of the products and exhibit a willingness to provide excellent service...

edit @ 2024185656 Amazing place, I found a Korean Festival ticket hosted in Atlanta at Sugarloaf Mills Lawrenceville.

Wonder how much money it will generate....

I meant amazing cultural diversity, so many innovative ideas. Amazing. I ain't got money.

edit 20241022191336 I bought young radish for less than 2 dollars.

I hope for others to understand.

And, I wish people are wise enough to comprehend.

Especially for those who doesn't have understanding, the importance of different perspective of other people or other groups.

The difference in our cultural backgrounds and their upbringing, defines who we are as a human being.

Regardless of where the person is from, we, as a human, are born equal.

From someone and by someone.

A Mother and a Father.

The rest?

It's the culture and the environment that defines our difference.

From religion, relationship, friendship, or even politics.

Which is really complex subject, to put into words to describe.

Other than to just experience on your own.

No one can tell you what your own life should be or shouldn't be.

As long as it doesn't violate the law of the land, in this case the Constitution of America.

For the "people" it begins with.

I hope people are smart enough to understand what it meant and what it means today.

From beginning to end.

The Life and death.

To a child or to an elder.

Sincerely, Joseph Kimmy.

I personally like this place but it's not for everyone. If you're going here for groceries the key is to go during the weekend. It's when they have the highest volume. Go in with an open mind because you can buy groceries for a family of four for $50 and that includes fruits and veggies considered exotic by American grocer standards. Take your time looking for your produce and don't buy too much because it will go bad a little quicker than what you buy at other grocery stores. Example, if they have strawberries super cheap at $.99 check the package carefully that none are over ripened or smushy. They sell the same produce that DeKalb International Farmer's Market sells. They have an extensive selection of seafood including squid, conch, prawns, etc. Their beef and pork always looks fresh. They also sell some Indian food items, half an aisle's worth. There is also a small Mozart stand where you can buy desserts in the food court. And if you want authentic Korean food try Bimbimbab and Barbecue (?) Next to the Chinese food stand in the food court. The bathrooms are not clean here, especially after their lunch rush. But if you're looking to save a buck and expand your dietary repertoire then it's...
