Franciscan Center of Lourdes University — Attraction in Sylvania

Just had my wedding here and while it was beautiful, the service was staff was absolutely terrible. We paid for early set up the day before and when we showed up they had another event going on in the space. There were around 80 people coming and going throughout the day while we were trying to set up. Also, we paid for unlimited alcohol and ended up running out of beer by 7 PM. They told us there was nothing they could do about it and told us to just start drinking liquor instead. We ended up going to the store ourselves to get our guests beer and asked if they could serve it behind the bar. They said no and started throwing away full cases of beer we had just bought... Bruce (one of the workers monitoring our reception) is a complete jerk and treated the bridal party and families terribly. He threatened to throw anyone with a beer can out of the building. We called the manager, Brian, to ask for a refund for the beer since we paid for bottomless alcohol and did not receive it, and he told us he wasn’t going to give us one since there was plenty of liquor to drink... I was extremely disappointed in the service we were given and would not recommend having your reception here. A beautiful facility to have a reunion. Ours had about 210 people. Plenty of doors and patio space beyond the main entry to assemble or talk away from the interior spacious eating area. Our group was so talkative that two bands could not play louder. Don't waste your money on music nor speeches. I recently helped decorate for my cousins wedding. The venue is beautiful, lots of room, plenty of bathrooms, plenty of parking, handicap accessible & the staff was lovely. Ashley and Madison were there and were very helpful…..there was other staff as well…helpful and kind - don’t know their names to give them a shout out. 10 out of 10...
