It was our first time visiting this hotel. Beautiful area, nicely decorated interior inside the of hotel. Our room needed an upgrade. Because of the stains and dust all over the room. The furniture in the room was dirty. The walls were dusty. There was a large spider web on the wall , the lamp shades too. I walked downstairs to talk to someone about the room. They had called maintenance clean the top of the wall with the 🕸. Later on, I asked housekeeping for a dust towel and cleaning spray. I could clean our room before bringing up suitcases. I wiped everything down and gave housekeeping the dirty towel back. She told me that she cleaned the room herself. I told her she couldn't have or the room wouldn't have smelled stuff and dusty. I walked downstairs later. I spoke to the young lady working at the main desk. I told her about our experience, and she offered to move our room. I told no because I had already cleaned everything. I thought until. I opened the door of the walk-in shower. We didn't shower that night. I waited to speak to housekeeping in the morning 🙃 I asked for more cleaning stuff 😅 I sprayed all the back wall of the shower. Housekeeping came in behind me to clean the shower. You really could see the difference. The next morning/day, no one called our room to ask us about the problems in our room. We were told that a note was left that night for the morning managers. We had no other choice but to stay. The only hotel in the area. Prices are $187. Plus, all the other fees. Other guests were charged differently 😐. When we got back in Texas. I called the hotel at 1-800-number with my concerns with photos of our room. They had a manager email us and said that they would credit us the first night stay 😳. They should've paid me for the extra cleaning up the room for the 5-day that we had stayed there. We enjoyed a few good memories of the hotel stay😀meeting Ananda and her son, the ladies who had an awesome spread of breakfast food every morning. Ron, who was always working. But yet, ask how we're doing or if we need anything. We met a nice guest who was staying at this hotel too. I think overall, it would have been the perfect stay if the rooms were completely clean. I think the manager over the hotel should check on the rooms after housekeeping cleans each room to verify that they are really clean all over. This was only our experience with this...
Read moreAfter being checking in, we were told there was construction on floor 2, we were on 3. We were told the construction would be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. we get to our room and the construction has moved to the floor above us. We had paid for early check in and the room directly above was the place being worked on. We couldn't take the noise so left and returned at 3 to nap before going out that evening. The construction continued well past 3 and when I spoke to Debra at the front desk at 3:50 p.m., she told me she wasn't a manager so she couldn't do anything so we left again. We came home late and slept. I woke at 4:45 a.m. to find a bill had been slid beneath my door. I called down to the desk to see if a bill had also been put beneath the door next to mine. I had also reserved that room for my sister. It was a gift that I had insisted on paying for. Now she was aware of the money I had spent. When I asked Debra why they would provide my sister with a bill when both rooms were in my name and I had a card on file. Debra told me that they put bills under all doors unless told otherwise. I have stayed in hotels in the US and Europe and NEVER had a bill slipped beneath the door. I was not made aware of this practice. I went back to bed and was awakened with construction work above me at 9:30 a.m. It stopped briefly when i called downstairs but started again at 10:45. This was the worst hotel stay. The room/bed were nice and the breakfast buffet was good. Everything...
Read moremy experience with wingate was terrible. I booked a room in this hotel for my wedding night along with a block of rooms for friends and family. I arrived to check in the night of my wedding to find out my reservation did not exist and the hotel was sold out. the attendant at the front desk made one call to the manager that night and she did not answer and that's where the help stopped. We tried to find some near by accommodations but were unsuccessful because of the time of night. we then had to find a ride back to our house. The Manager called and left a message on my wifes phone sometime while we were on the honey moon in mexico. I called the Manager when we got back home and she was not available so the assistant call me back to let me know the manager would call me back in 2 days when she was back in town. I have not Heard form anyone since its been 3 weeks.
But hey they made some money on my family with that block of rooms and what are the odds of me getting married anytime soon and needing to use them again so lets just forget about the...
