Harroun Community Park — Attraction in Sylvania

We walked this park last year and were surprised what a nice little park it was....so quiet and serene. We walked the boardwalk and the trails. Also saw some deer,. which we love to see. Just today we walked the park and we were so disappointed at how it has become neglected. The boardwalk we walked last year you could not find it...it was overgrown with weeds and branches.....so sad. The spot where there is a picnic area and across from it another picnic table with a roof over it was surrounded with weeds and overhanging tree branches which was not suitable for sitting there. It really needs a lot of maintenance. It is not taken care of as it should be. A diamond in the ruff for the City of Sylvania wasting away...

Even though it was 40 degrees I still saw at least 4 couples and people walking the lengthy paved path, as I zoomed by them.

Its scenery include a never before been touched almost swamp like area, and directly across from that a very beautiful rushing river running through. Both equally awe inspiring regardless the tempature.

It crosses a busy road and underpasses the busier highway.

There is a sheltered resting/area as well as a few bridges.

Stopped here after ordering food to go so we could eat outside. Nice little covered picnic area. But, it does get reserved so be aware of that. They only had port-a-johns, although they were some of the cleanest ones I've ever been in. After eating we walked down the path, it was very well maintained and a pleasure to walk on.
