BAD NEW EVERYONE NEW OWNERS
8 years of coming here ordering 1/2 sheet cakes each visit. I’ve ordered at least 6 cakes already this year. I went in Thursday to pick up my son birthday cake & the new owner was waiting on someone she never once greeted me or let me know that she/someone would be right with me which was very rude. When someone finally helped me I only received a 1/4 sheet cake. I address the problem and lady looked and me like I had did something wrong never once asking or offering a solution. The problem was treated like it wasn’t a big deal, but it was to me. Finally after I kept asking is there anyway you could make another cake or something to make up for the rest of the cake because I was having a party for about 35 12 year olds. The owner reluctantly decided to give me half off. All I wanted was my cake that’s it. The cake turn out to be very dry not good at all I could definitely tell the difference. It tasted like a boxed cake.

Read moreI had a cake made from my mother's 60th birthday and I had never tried this bakery before But I will highly recommend them from here on out. I had a yellow cake with raspberry filling and whipped cream frosting that was to die for! I didn't have any specifics on colors for decorating but they really did come through and the cake looked beautiful . I was happy, mom was happy, all the guests were happy as well. Just a fabulous job at a very reasonable price too. They also only needed 2 days notice for a 1/2 sheet cake which fed well over the 30 people they recommended. Which was great because everyone pretty much got a piece to take with them. I will definitely be him getting my cakes here...
Read moreDowntown Sylvania has always struggled to keep businesses that aren't J&G's or Inside the Five. This donut shop has nothing to offer when compared to other local donut joints. Tony's in Lambertville has some of the best in the Toledo area, Cafe Donuts is good, Mamma C's in Maumee is excellent, but what does Mainstreet Sweets have to offer?
The products are fine. But what is set apart? Why not go to the other places listed above?
The atmosphere is fine, but nothing special. The cookies are fine, but nothing special. If you are going to enter the baking business you have to have something new, but not confused. A brick and mortar needs to have donegality...
