South Sound Lashes & Sugaring — Attraction in Tacoma

This place is an absolute gem!!! I just recently moved here from the East coast and I've been getting my eyelashes done now for about a year and a half. I was very nervous to find a new artist. I'm always worried that if I go to the wrong person, I might lose my lashes. Lush Lashes is a god send! My post might be a bit long, but I feel it's necessary in order to convey my true satisfaction with the service. Upon entering the shop, everything is incredibly CLEAN and COZY. I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot and the women that work there are very nice. I had my old lashes removed (which was a first). As nervous as I was, it was completely painless and it was done with a gel that easily broke down the bonds and wiped away my old lashes. I got the moment to check out my natural lashes and I must say I was relieved to see them very full and very much still there! lol Next came the process of choosing my lashes. This was a first for me. My artist Constance was very knowledgeable and sweet:) We picked a unique look just for me and apparently there are about a million different type of lash widths and lengths!! After professional consultation, we settled on a fit for me and next came the application process. Now keep in mind I had a FULL SET done. Which take some time...I was not expecting 2 + hours. My artist truly dedicated a lot of time to making sure she applied lashes to each and every one of my individual lashes! I felt very comfortable and SAFE in her hands. She told me I had about 80-90 lashes per eye??? I did feel like I could trust her with my eyes and honestly..between the heated massage table and plush neck pillow...I dozed in and out of sleep through most of it. The end product was something AMAZING! I got up, checked out my eyes and couldn't believe it!! I've never had such natural and stunning looking lashes...I felt like I could blink and fly away with these killer lashes! They look very very real and because we custom fit the lashes to my eyes...they felt weightless, I can not even feel them. Constance cares about the quality of her work and I was blown away with her attention to detail and patience. She is very talented and a great representative of Lush Lashes! My experience with her gave a great reflection of this place. I took a handful of business cards and I already need more to hand out. All my girlfriends are very jealous and I must admit...I am a little more generous with those flirty winks ;)!! Thank you...

My mom had gotten eyelashes a few times here and she kept getting an allergic reactions even with the sensitive glue so she recently just wanted an eyelash lift since she’s allergic to the lashes/ glue , one of the eyelash techs were insisting for her to get eyelashes , even though my mom already explained she can’t even with the sensitive glue, the eyelash tech just kept insisting and PROMISED my mom she wasn’t going to get an Allergic reaction so then my mom trusted the eyelash techs WORD and she was like alright I’ll get them, and the next day my mom was again going threw the bad allergic reaction so she went to get them removed and they wanted her to pay for the removal even though she didn’t even want to get them for the same reason but since they wanted to insist so much and promise something then I don’t think she has to pay for something she wasnt asking for they were being extremely rude and telling her she couldn’t leave if she doesn’t pay and recording her, I honestly think that’s extremely disrespectful and trying to act like “ oh look she doesn’t want to pay” SHE PAYED 180 for the Lashes for them to get removed the next day, to pay another 30 for someone who had a false promise , do you guys think money falls off of a tree orrrr.. since you guys wanted her to get them done so BAD then that was on you guys she should actually get her 180 BACK or at least HALF the money. if she was the one wanting them again then that would’ve...

I have had a full set and three fills now. When I initially came here I was honestly on my last leg with getting extensions because I was not having a good experience. I have been thru a few of salons/techs in Tacoma and have not had the best time with their work. I judge work at this point by how fast a lash pops off and that usually has happened on the first day after application. When Melissa did a new full set on me not A SINGLE lash had fallen off since the appointment, only a few did after two weeks right before my fill. Now that’s more like it and honestly worth my money.

The vibe at the spa is soooooo welcoming and I loved hearing all the laughter between the other techs. It was especially nice to not be guilt tripped for pulling out lashes that were too sore for me to handle. The salon is clean, bright and comfy. The prices are reasonable for the well done work.

These techs will take care of you and your lashes. Melissa has done me the favor of not causing anymore damage to my lashes by slowing increasing my volume during fills and now I’m back to my usual fluffy hybrid car eye.
