I went into Kimberly's this morning (9/22/2012) to look for a military ball gown. I walked into the store and asked about a dress in the window and a worker (older lady with purple in her hair) told me, in a very rude manor, I would have to go back outside to look at it. I should have taken that as my sign to just leave. Once I got back in the store I noticed there were at least 4 employees working. Not once did they ask me if they could help me find anything. One worker came up to me and said if I find anything I want to try on, I'll have to go up to the front and put my name down to reserve a dressing room. I was then given four plastic rings to put on the dresses I wanted to try on. Once I found the four to try on, I'm carrying them and was then told, again, very rudly, to hang them on the rack in front of the dressing rooms. I stood there for about three minutes waiting on a worker to unlock an empty room. Once in the dressing room, I tried on my first dress and stepped out of the fitting room to look in the only mirror they had. All of the workers were standing there just staring at me, not once asking to help hold the dress so I could see what it would look like once altered. I get back in the fitting room and was then told, very rudly, NOT to zip my dress because I could rip it. THEY have to zip it up. OK, well when the zipper is right next to your bottom and your underwear will show, sorry, I'll be doing the zipping myself. I didn't even come out of the dressing room for the third dress because I didn't feel comfortable with all of them staring at me while I looked at it in the mirror, AND at this point I was feeling like they didn't want my service. After I handed the worker my third dress, expecting to be handed the fourth and final dress to try on, she walks off and starts talking to the other workers, she didn't even hand me my last dress to try on! That's when I put my clothes back on and walked out. As I'm leaving, I guess they could see how aggravated I was and they offered to show me more dresses. I just looked at her and laughed as I walked out. *So a note to the ladies at Kimberly's, today was supposed to be an exciting day for me. My husband comes home from Afghanistan after a year long deployment very soon and I was looking for the perfect dress to wear to our ball. The way I was treated was so unprofessional and rude. I will NEVER step foot in your store again. And I've already told family and friends about what happened. You need to understand people come in there to find the perfect dress for their special occasion. They way you treat your customers ruins the whole dress shopping experience. *On a positive note, I drove a few blocks down to another dress shop (can't remember the name) and the ladies were so sweet, friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a dress in Tahlequah-DO NOT GO...
Read moreWell I gave this place a 5 at first because my experience at the store was great! My daughter found the perfect dress.. then 5 days later this store sold the same dress to a girl going to the same prom my daughter is going to.. different color but the exact same dress. I was told this would not happen that they would not sell the same dress that it was policy and the computer would flag it. Well the computer did flag it and Kim the owner of the store went ahead and sold the dress knowing she was going to the same prom as my daughter. The store owner Kim also gave my 16 year old daughters name to the girl which I think is very wrong. I am not blaming the girl that purchased the dress. This is no one's fault but the person that sold the dress to the other girl. My daughter did speak to Kim but didn't realize it was the same dress because she was told the dresses looked nothing alike same stock number but was not similar in any way. So my daughter said it was ok to sell her the dress. Then she received a picture of the dress an hour later and seen that it was the same dress just a different color. First off I'm the one that purchased the dress not my daughter therefore I'm the one that Kim should of talked to not my 16 year old daughter. Kim said she would make things right so she offered me to bring the dress back and exchange it and she would reimburse me $50 for gas and give me a $50 gift certificate.. she also offered this to the other girl. We both declined that offer because I will not be back to this store! So if you are OK with having the same prom dress as another girl at your prom then this is the store for you! If not then I'd definitely find another store.
That's why customers travel from hundreds of miles to shop Kimberly's. Largest selection. Quality brands. Best prices. Expert service. And don't forget, Kimberly's registers every dress sold to prevent duplicates...
Read moreMy daughter was completely ignored the whole hour we were there. Nobody told us that the sizes on the plastic coverings were not the same sizes as what was on the tag, she ended up trying on dresses that were four sizes too large. Very disappointing and discouraging, especially since we'd planned the visit for weeks and had waited until she was out of school so she'd be able to shop without her younger brothers. Not only was she treated poorly, but I was as well, I was condescendingly told that she wasn't a size three, the employee rolled her eyes at me and say she'd be size four since dresses are even numbers. The attitude was unexpected, and I felt really bad for my daughter to have to go through such an experience. People coming in after us had attention lavished upon them, they didn't even have to wade through the racks, dresses in their size were brought directly to their dressing room and they were waited on hand and foot while they modeled dress after dress. This while my daughter was having to carry the heavy dresses herself from the other room... it was like were were invisible, nobody even noticed...
