Meigs Jewelry — Attraction in Tahlequah

I had a unique situation. I have worn my Grandmother’s gold/opal ring (on my left ring finger) since she (surprisingly) gave it to me in her will after she passed away April 17, 2011. She was the reason that I was able to go to college. She was my constant strength and encouragement. I wouldn’t be the person that I became, without her. So, to say her ring was special to me is an understatement. My sweet fiancé (now hubby) knew this. He made a copper ring for me to propose and told me that we could see if it was possible to make my Grandma’s ring into my official engagement ring. We didn’t know where to begin but I knew that a friend of mine from church worked at Meigs, so we went in. We didn’t know what to expect so when they took the opal out of my ring and set the diamond in it’s place, I lost it. I was so overwhelmed with happy tears, it was the most beautiful ring that I’d ever seen. All engagement rings are beautiful but this piece of jewelry is my heart. It’s perfect and I will always cherish and adore it. The next challenge was the wedding band. Because of the very unique shape of my ring, a normal wedding band wouldn’t work. I bought a band from Meigs and their jewelry designer customized it to fit my engagement ring, which made my beautiful ring even more breathtaking and special. It is absolutely perfect and I am so thankful for Meigs staff and their patience with me and their incredible professionalism and customer service. On our first visit, we were greeted by Debbie Miller. She was very friendly and helpful. You can tell she loves her job! Didn't buy that day. Next day, went back and again received a warm greeting. While we were there, the weather turn bad quickly. Weather sirens went off in the town. They locked us in and kept us safe for about an hour. They were so warm and reassuring that we would be OK inside. We were offered coffee, cookies, tea, soft drinks...... anything we wanted. We made our purchases and after the weather cleared enough, we were able to leave and continue our journey. We were extremely fortunate that we were where we were at that given time!! Absolutely grateful today for Meig's Jewelry! Having dropped off several projects with directions to wait on a resizing my wedding set for a decision on having some raw stones cut for the single band that I have been wearing, I called to delay the resize. Today, I went to pick up a couple of chains that I had left, along with the ring, to have the clasp repaired. I was shocked and wonderfully surprised that the ring had been resized also.
