We went to the movies to see Gabby dollhouse. It was the first time my two year old daughter first time seeing a movie and she loves Gabby Dollhouse and I searched what movie theater would be the best to go and had good promotion and AMC is offering on September 27,2025 a free keychain it says it on the official website of AMC Tallahassee, AMC, instagram, facebook and TikTok. It never says or show the time you get the free pin just say’s September 27,2025z we went at 11:30am, that’s why I was so shocked when the person who checked our tickets in a very cold hearted and rude way said we are only gonna give it to the 2:00pm showing and that they are hiding away. Mind you they were not to many people at the movies. I show him the pic that’s says September 27,2025 that is advertised nationwide ,he then proceeded to said well when the movie is over just come and you can get your pin. We bought merchandise and of course drinks and popcorn and we enjoyed the movie even though they didn’t have any cardboard of the movie anywhere in the theater. I went and was about to grab the keychain as we bought 3 tickets it was me, my mom and my daughter he rudely said no is not for you guys and try to ignore me and did is management the lady sitting next to him told him to stop it and just give my two year old the keychain he said no in a very rude, cold hearted, worst customer service I have ever experienced. I wasn’t planning’s on going today but because it was advertised in all social medias about the keychain I made plans on going on September 27,2025. Like I told him if I would have know or being advertised they they were gonna give the key chain at 2:00pm I would have changed it at the time. An amazing experience turned bad because of bad management and then he told me rudely go complain to AMC theaters. Also as a member of AMC I would never go back to this movie theater again is...
Read moreIt is way too hard to find the entrance to the theater. I have been several times, and the last time, the door we had used before on northside of complex was locked with no directions on where to go. Fortunately, there was a security guard who told us the entrance was "that way." I then loaded the kids in the car seats (100 degree weather) and drove around "that way" to Belk's to park. We walked all the way through Belk's and the doors to the mall are permanently locked--of course! We then had to walk outside again and traipse around to a nondescript door that wasn't labeled as AMC--it was a random mall entrance. About 50 yards later, we could tackle the ticket-buying machines. They worked this time, but last time we tried 3 different credit cards and none worked. We had to wait in line about 10 minutes for the one person at the "help" desk. Popcorn is outrageously expensive--almost as much as a ticket. Finally, the seats are comfortable, but the buttons to recline are inscrutable. If you don't recline, unless you're 7 fee tall, your feet won't touch the floor.
It's one of the few theaters in town, so I hope they step up their game. The locked door was really annoying, and they at least need to station a human at those ticket-dispensing machines which are WAY too convoluted and don't seem to work all the time (one of the employees admitted...
Read moreThe evening staff was great and I had no complaints about seating or any other part of the facility at this time, other than what you're about to read.
This review is moreso about their mac and cheese (both the bacon and cheeseburger styles). You pay $6.45 for something that looks like half a pack of cheese put on a paper plate and then thrown in the microwave for too long, smh. I could count on two hands how many noodles were in the cheese and still have a couple fingers to spare. It literally, BARELY covered the bottom of the paper bowl it was put in. If you were to lay a fork on its side and count two teeth up, THAT, IS HOW MUCH YOU GET FOR ABOUT $7. It looks NOTHING like the advertisement on the menu. If it looked like the advertisement but had no flavor, I could've worked around that. I'm sure you know the term "catfished" right, well that's exactly what you'll get when you order their Mac and cheese. Definitely do not order if you don't have an iron stomach. I don't expect a movie theater to serve fire Mac and cheese but I at least, expected more from an AMC theater.
Aside from that mess, I enjoyed myself, staff was polite and friendly and I plan on going back like usual. Just don't ever order that which they call "Mac...
