LongHorn Steakhouse — Restaurant in Tallahassee

Went there last night with a friend 08/23/2024 and the restaurant was super busy! The wait was 20 minutes which was not a problem. When we were seated which was at 7:12pm we sat by mobile huge air unit and it was hard to hear the waiter as well as my friend. When the waiter came over, he didn't specify his name but asked if he could take our drink order. I placed my order and my friend ordered the new dragon fruit beverage. He proceeds to ask my friend something about her drink but he was talking so low, and again we couldn't hear him because of the loud air unit that was placed right next to us, she couldn't hear him and she said "say that again" and he didn't even repeat himself. He leaves, comes back shortly with our drinks and bread. The waiter NEVER came back to check on us not ONCE and we had been sitting for over an hour. Not to come ask if we needed a refill, or more fresh bread, or to even say "I do apologize that its taking some time to get your food, but it will be out shortly" He walked by our table MANY of times and did not stop. I stopped a young lady and asked her if she could get the manager for me, she said ok and proceeds to walk up front to the podium where the "one" of the mangers was standing. 20 minutes has gone by and no manager. I had to stop a guy who cleans in the kitchen who just so happens to walk if he could get a manager. MAYBE 5 minutes later a lady walks to the table and she says "can i help you?" i look at her and asked "who are you?" she says she is one of the managers. I began to tell her about our service, pointed out our waitress, asked her his name, and i believe she said, Galvin, I may be wrong but I'll never forget him nor her. She then says "well do you want some fresh lemonade?" she kept asking if we wanted everything on our plate fresh! well DUH!!! we been sitting here for over an hour, My lemonade, is not lemonade anymore its water, so yes I want fresh, lemonade, fresh fries and fresh wild west shrimp! She leaves and comes back with my lemonade and she said "your wild west shrimp will be out shorty" and I said "and my fries?" she leans in to my face, and says with an attitude, "your wild west shrimp and fries will be right up" so i leaned in to her face and said "Ok, and get out of my face!" she asked me what did I said as if i was not going to repeat myself, I told her "get out of my face" she told me to leave the restaurant, which i kindly did! This manager had tattoos on her arm, black pants, and stripe shirt. AND might I add if I have to write a review everyday about how I was treated I will until she is gone! This was by far the worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant in a very long time. We were told the wait time for a table was over a hour because they don’t take reservations.(we called 24 hours in advance) The table they decided to sit us at had been available the entire time! parties came in after us and they were seated immediately. The service was horrible, and the management wasn’t any better.I had a party of nine we were sat at a table without any eating utensils. I had to excuse myself from the table to get the utensils that we needed because our waitress who by the way, had a very nasty disposition. She never came by our table to see if we needed anything nor did she clear the table before our actual meal came out. We had to send most of the food back because it wasn’t prepared correctly. I ordered loaded mashed potatoes. I got regular mashed potatoes. I stopped the waitress when passing by. This is supposed to be loaded mashed potatoes. She say “oh not a problem. I’ll bring you out the toppings”. That was a problem for me. I do not work for Longhorn if I order something a certain way it should fixed the way I ordered it. However, she brought my toppings in a plastic container for me to put on top of my potatoes. I feel like I could’ve got better service at McDonald’s. I ordered a salad because I felt like the food was not going to be good because of what I was seeing during my waiting. My salad came out last about 7 to 8 minutes after everyone else was eating their food. This was my first and last time visiting Longhorn in Tallahassee. I would not suggest this restaurant to anyone under any circumstances! It was horrible all the way around! The waitress dropped some things on the floor right next to me at the table, she did not bother to pick them up nor does she replace it. I had to keep asking her when walking by can you get this? Or we didn’t get that! She totally ignored us and we only got service when she brought our food out or she came to settle the bill in between that we did not see her. If you are expecting good quality food, a friendly atmosphere and wonderful service do not go to Longhorn in Tallahassee off of Monroe! Worst...

LongHorn Steakhouse never fails to impress, and my recent visit was no exception. Amani, my server at the bar, elevated the experience to new heights with her exceptional service and attention to detail.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rustic decor and cozy ambiance set the stage for a fantastic meal. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was the outstanding service provided by Amani.

Amani's professionalism, knowledge, and friendly demeanor immediately put me at ease. She was attentive without being intrusive, making sure our glasses were never empty and our needs were met promptly. Her recommendations for the menu were spot on, and she was more than willing to answer any questions we had about the dishes. It's clear that she is passionate about what she does, and it showed in her dedication to ensuring we had a memorable dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the food. LongHorn Steakhouse has always been a favorite of mine, and this visit reinforced why. The steaks were cooked to perfection, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The sides were equally delightful, and the attention to detail in every dish was evident.

The extensive wine and cocktail selection perfectly complemented the meal, and Amani's knowledge of the drink menu helped us make great choices.

I left LongHorn Steakhouse feeling more than satisfied, and it was all thanks to Amani's impeccable service. She went above and beyond to make our evening special, and for that, I am extremely grateful.
