In the hallowed halls of Doak Campbell Stadium, where the echoes of past glories resonate louder than the notion of a balanced education, you’ll find a monument not just to football, but to a proud tradition of prioritizing sports over pesky distractions like academics and, well, basic human decency.
Here, the student body boasts a staggering alumni network predominantly situated in the high-stakes world of fast food – a whopping 85% claim the title of ‘French Fry Connoisseur’. The university prides itself on its groundbreaking degree programs, including the much-celebrated majors in Bag Boy Dynamics, Call Center Rep Resilience, and the ever-popular Waste Management Wizardry. The low bar for admission isn’t just a policy, it’s an art form – ensuring that anyone, regardless of their IQ, can bask in the glory of mediocrity.
But it’s not just the academic curriculum that’s innovatively inclusive. The athletic department has a unique recruitment strategy, often scouting talent from the state’s most exclusive gated communities – yes, the prisons. This creative approach has led to a team spirit that’s both unbreakable and, occasionally, on parole.
And who could forget the culinary inspiration that swept the nation when Jameis Winston embraced his inner seafood enthusiast and liberated those crab legs? It wasn’t just petty theft; it was a statement, a symbol of the resourcefulness and go-getter attitude that the university instills in its students.
So, if you’re looking for an educational experience that’s as enriching as it is entertaining, look no further than Doak Campbell Stadium – where the touchdowns are plenty, and the textbooks are, well,...
Read moreThis stadium is beautiful architecturally and has all the amenities one would expect. This is the first year beer is being sold. I imagine that is subject to change depending on crowd behavior. It's not like tailgating has been banned. The atmosphere is different this year, with the restrictions in place due to Covid-19 that requires seat distancing between groups, thereby reducing crowd size noticeably from the 75,000 or so it would ordinarily hold. Masks are required, naturally. The Marching Chiefs are as terrific as always. Unfortunately, FSU football is far from its glory days. Coach Bowden was one of the best and most successful coaches of his era without question. It is only fitting that Doak Campbell Stadium houses Bobby Bowden Field upon which the game is played. Osceola and Renegade are always around during the game and on the field at the beginning of every game. When Osceola plants that flaming spear in the ground at midfield, there's no other place a Seminole fan would rather...
Read moreBeen a State fan all my life and had many great experiences here. Last couple of years my wife and I have made it a point to catch a game whenever we can and I always have the best experience. The stadium is beautiful and always very well maintained. The staff is very patient and helpful. Concessions are reasonably affordable and they keep the line moving which gets you back to the action quickly. The facilities are also well maintained which isn’t always the case at football games so appreciate that. There’s something special about being in the Doak whether you’re a fan or not it’s absolutely electric and I highly recommend catching a Florida State game if you can. Don’t forget to stop by the “Unconquered” statue of Osceola and Renegade at night as the spear is aflame! 10/10 recommend...
