When shopping for an engagement ring for my now fiancee, I visited just about every one of the reputable jewelers in the Tampa area, and could not be more glad I ended up going with Mavilo for both the diamond and the setting. I started off working with Jolie who was knowledgeable, helpful, and very patient while I hemmed and hawed and asked to see a lot of different stones. I appreciated that, unlike many other jewelers I encountered at other stores, Jolie did not bring out diamonds for me to see that were far outside any of the parameters I had set in terms of price, size, color, clarity, etc. When I had narrowed it down to just two stones that were significantly different in price and not perceptibly different in quality, I greatly appreciated that Jolie gave me her honest opinion that they were equally nice and I might as well save the extra money for the setting.

Once we got to the setting, I couldn't find anything I really liked, so Jolie brought Mavilo's in-house custom designer in to discuss possible custom designs. John hand-sketched a few designs based on my input and we worked together to narrow it down to a "rough draft," which he then created a digital rendering and a wax mold of for me to see. It was a beautiful design from the start, but John happily continued to work with me to refine it, and in just 2 rounds we had a final product. Jolie stayed involved the whole time to help guide the process, as well.

In the end, the ring came out stunning, and my fiancee (most importantly of all) loves it. We couldn't be happier with the service we received or more impressed with the level of detail, finesse, and creativity that went into the ring thanks to the team at Mavilo.
