I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bolay, and I must say that my experience was outstanding. Bolay is a bowl food spot that offers a unique and healthy dining experience. So dont eat here unless you want gnats in your food and for the manager to poorly handle it afterwards. I was about to start eating and first i noticed what i thought was a baby roach on the inside of my plastic lid which threw me off, then i opened it and it flew out and i saw another one parked on a cilantro leaf right in the center of my plate. i immediately killed it -and this is all on the recording too so it could be fact checked if they release the footage - and placed the napkin next to my food. i sat there and talked w my brother seeing what we should do, so we took it to the manager and she immediately took the dish and said she would remake both our meals ( my brothers didnt have any that we saw at least but he got it remade anyway just in case) . So she remade the meals and we kept eating but then we got grossed out to continue eating just thinking about what had just happened. so we told one of her coworkers and he got the manager and she came out and asked what was going on so we told her and then she said show me and we were like show you what, and she said the gnat and we said what gnat, we were talking about being grossed out with the first dish, and then she was like well what do you want how can i deal with this and we said we wanted a refund and she ran and reached out 12 dollars for each of us to rush us off. she was making a scene and trying to accuse us of planting the bug or something but definitely not coming back ever but good luck to anyone that does...

I had not heard of nor tried Bolay Kitchen before this event, so this was my first time here. I live in Pinellas so it was a little bit of drive to get to them but I can honestly say the drive was worth it! I came in during what I would have assumed to be dinner rush time but aside from myself there was only 1 other customer in the restaurant which struck me as odd. I was indecisive as to what to actually order for my first time here but after talking to one of the staff members, I decided to go with his recommendation & ordered the the steak street salad bowl, & I am so glad I did! The steak was cooked perfectly, the chimichurri tomatoes were amazing, & the creamy garlic & herb dressing brought the whole bowl together! I got a chocolate chip cookie which was still soft & sweet, so I knew it was just made today. I also got the berry patch tea to go with it, the tea was nice & refreshing, I got a refill of the tea but switched it up & got the mandarin cardamon tea. That tea was a bit more robust but still delicious & satisfying. The restaurant layout & atmosphere is really nice, I liked learning they are gluten free. I honestly don't know why there weren't more people here, but I will definitely be making the trek back over...
