The best part about this place is there is no pressure to buy anything. We were instructed to purchase what called us and spoke to us and I really appreciated that. Taos Gems & Minerals is probably the best place in Taos to stop and shop for Rocks. We stop in every trip for one reason and one reason only. The kids love Staurolite’s. The Spanish upon arrival in Taos saw these laying on the ground and believed this land to be very special. Staurolite are shaped like crosses and have Garnets in them.
