Matter Brothers Furniture & Design — Attraction in Tarpon Springs

DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO MATTER BROTHERS FURNITURE! Text book rip off salesmen! Sweet as candy while they're selling their over priced, junk furniture and completely rude and non caring as soon as there is a problem! I'd rather buy at Macy's where they actually stand behind their products! Heck, you would do better at Big Lots. No, that's no exaggeration! Buyers you have been warned... I should have done more research and read all the bad reviews before buying here. I only hope I can save others the headaches I am going through. UPDATE: it has been 5 months now and I'm still fighting to get my money returned for my purchase of a defective couch -which is still sitting in their warehouse!!! Little do they realize that I will continue to spread the word that Matter Brothers Furniture is a rip off and not to be trusted. I have personally shared my experience with at least 5 definite buyers. They were wise, learned from my misfortune and purchased elsewhere, and they have all confirmed that they couldn't be happier, and they all saved at least a few hundred dollars. One couple in particular, newly relocated neighbors, almost made the mistake of spending over 7k at Matter Brothers to outfit their new home. Went to at least 5 furniture stores today, starting with one with awful sales people that were like sharks and really pushy. Ended up going here after finding it on google by searching "furniture store." They have a massive showroom with absolutely stunning furniture. My salesman, George, was extremely patient and did not try to push my budget at all. He quickly figured out my style and knew exactly what to show me. I told him I still wanted to look at other places and he was not rude at all. After going to several more stores, I called him and told him I was coming back to pick up the recliner we discussed and order a couch. I was running late and arrived 5 minutes prior to closing. He had the recliner wrapped up for me and helped load it into my truck. Even though it was already closed, he asked if there was anything else I needed and I asked about coffee tables. He was in NO RUSH whatsoever even though it was past closing time. He took his time to show me everything and I ended up ordering a coffee table as well. EXCELLENT customer service. They came and hauled off our old mattress and didn’t bring the new one. So called him up and they said that they used an outside delivery service and that the truck is broken down. So they weren’t going to make any effort it was gonna be four or five days until we got the new mattress. It wasn’t until I said where are you can just come get the bed that you delivered because we don’t want the furniture that we purchase now we want a full refund and we’re backing out of the deal. Then they change their tune and we caught them in another law. They said they would get an outside carrier to bring it and it would be here by 5 o’clock and then they showed up in a matter Brothers furniture truck And it was a floor model mattress and I also had a table that I had bought and they sell that right off the showroom floor and they were both still sitting in the furniture store.
