Absolute incompetence all the way around here. Last Sunday purchased a 3 piece sectional, was told by the salesman, “160$ we get it there, we get it inside, we get it setup.” Couch comes that night, one piece doesn’t fit. Call customer service they say 200$ to disassemble, we agree they take the long piece leave the other half. Next day they say the dissembled piece will arrive, come midnight delivery truck shows up with the same couch they couldn’t fit the day before, have to send back again. Next day (Tuesday) the store calls say we have to come in person for some reason to add the disassembly so we do. At the store we are told it will come Friday we leave no problem receipt in hand for charged disassembly. Come Wednesday we get a call from the store saying the piece can not be disassembled, and would have to pay 25% of the sale price just to return the half couch they were able to deliver. So at the end of the day I waited a week, have no furniture in the house I just moved into, and owe 311$. Absolutely disgusting business practices being performed here, and when trying to reach the salesman he refuses to take any calls. Perfect example as to why online shopping has taken over the sales industry, spend your hard earned money elsewhere, the most egregious experience I’ve had with an actual business in my 34 years they should be ashamed...
Read moreNot pleased! Revamp on this review. Thought this was a good experience, I guess I thought wrong! Before leaving the store that day we were told that if the bed was too high and she needed a step stool, jokingly, she could exchange the box springs for a bunkie board. After The delivery people set up the bed, it was quite taller than the one in the store. She tried it for about 2 weeks and decided a bunkie board would have been the best way to go. Called back to let Jason know that it was not working out for her, I was told we were never given the option to exchange it. That's funny we talked about a step stool possibly needed for her to get into the bed. But yet the conversation never happened. Now her only option is to purchase a bunkie board and spend another $130. Delivery guy even said she had 30 days. Won't be returning!!! Can't tell me a conversation never took place after the sale is complete and expect a returning customer! No way! I also never received my $50 gift certificate. I guess I also imagined that part as well! Took Mom to buy a new bed. Jason greeted us as soon as we came through the door. He listened to what she was looking for and was very patient. Mom purchased a new bed and was very happy. I just wanted to give a shout out to Jason. Thank you for making today a good...
Read moreBought a couch at Gardner white in 2022. Like most people we failed to write a review because we were happy with the salesperson (won’t name names just yet) and we were happy with the delivery. We bought extended warranty and now we are waiting to see what they can do for us before I rewrite this review. The cushions have worn out (foam which they said is springs) within 2 years of regular use by myself, my husband and the occasional guests/grandkids. Picture is of the couch I am reviewing. We have other furniture from Gardner white (from their previous location in Taylor) that we never bought warranty for and it gets same usage and it’s in mint condition. This review will be updated once we get our issues resolved.
UPDATE - Gardner white is refusing to have this couch repaired. First we were told it was the cushions and after further investigation it has nothing to do with the cushions. A repair person came out and it is a problem with the foundation of the couch. We will be taking this further to make sure we either get this repaired or our money back. Ridiculous that they are doing nothing to help us. Please don’t shop at this store. They rip people off and convince people to buy extended warranty...
