COVID PATIENT here. I just have been discharged (12-22-21) from HOLY NAME hospital. My speedy recovery ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹ came from the amazing people who took care of me, especially NURSE SUSAN (beautiful korean) she treated me like her own baby sister and of course everyone was exceptional so sweet and caring whatever uniform they came in wearing it was always a pleasant kindness. Thank you so much for the love, care and great food too ā˜ŗļø My mom was confined days after I was admitted and they were to passionate about moving me in my mom’s room, but she was discharged quickly - i did stay i think 11 days. Please don’t hesitate to have you cared, covered and recover in this hospital. NO REGRETS just pure joy of witnessing great quality services from our live’s heroes. The communication of pre & post care is awesome they call my sister time to time and even prayed for our recoveries. ā¤ļø just superb! Thank God for such institution and human resources ā¤ļø

If you have the chance to make it to any other hospital, avoid this one. If you are lucky like me you will get to sleep in the most uncomfortable chair ever while you accompany whoever is in the hospital. They cant afford enough recliners and the ones they have are all "being used". Also bring your own blanket and pillow because they wont at least extend you that courtesy since you are sleeping in a torture chair. Their solution? Go home, leave your elderly family member who is visiting you alone in the hospital. They are pretty slow for everything except collecting insurance information. Englewood is not too far, do yourself the favor and head there.

I wished I read the reviews before bringing my wife here for UTI/ Kidney infection. Care is zero literally zero at night after getting admitted. No one does routine check up. Doctors comes whenever they like to come. Nurses says IV cover is nothing so important when asked why is it not there. Her hand got swollen after 3 days of IV, and another nurse says its normal to have so and when asked doctors to see that said its weekend so they dont know when they would come. Just go somewhere else if its not life threatening.

Please go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Everytime I went here for a second opinion they denied anything is wrong and push depressants. I have lupus, a thyroid disease and several other autoimmune conditions that have literal diagnostic proof. New Rheum took me off my lupus medication on first visit and put me on antidepressants while pregnant then refused to refill it and return calls until I threatened a lawsuit because he said my OB she refill my medications. went to a different rheum and he said that was the worst thing any Dr could do, took me off the antidepressants immediately and put me back on lupus med. Was diagnosed with seizures, sent to holy name after several months of treatment and feeling better and the dr looked at me and said "I wouldn't call these seizures, were you harmed as a child? " no exaggeration he diagnosed me with emotional seizures after i had been treated for seizures and didn't have any more seizures. Went to neuro there for follow up on lesions on my brain, there were new lesions some recent, she misread the results multiple times in front of me and once getting it right (it's simply reading) sent me for a spinal tap that showed significant autoimmune activity and didn't call me back after I called her everyday for a week and then said "everything's normal" when I asked about the oglioclonal bands she said "my report doesn't say that where are you reading this" and hung up to"look into it" called me back saying "I expected the results to be normal and this just leaves me with more questions than answers". Sent me to the MS clinic there to definitively rule it out and the first visit she said I had left sided weakness and a mute toe and wanted an mri of my spine to rule out and injury. Upon follow up the MS Dr recommended I talk to the neuro or a psychiatrist about antidepressants because depression impairs memory. I asked if lupus and thyroid also impair memory and she said sure but considering I had postpartum depression suspected a mood disorder. I asked if a mood disorder causes lesions and the abnormal spinal tap and she said "that's where you misunderstood the neuro your spinal results were normal" I asked about the bands indicating autoimmune activity and she said yes but it's occurring outside and entering the fluid, I said yes I know that but it still indicates a physiological issue (autoimmune), does a mood disorder cause that and lesions on the brain and left sided weakness and a mute toe? She said well I'm just hear to rule out MS and we did that I can't really explain those issues. Then why are you trying to explain all my problems with depression?!

Also discrepancy with tests done here. Previous MRI of my spine said I had degeneration between T3 and T4 that my(retired) rheum kept an eye on with repeated mris at a private facility. The mri I just had at holy name said there was literally nothing, not even dust on the film.. that my entire spine was spotless and perfect not even a single disc issue or old injury. šŸ™ƒ

Maybe it's training, or work environment but consistently taking away diagnosis, ignoring any results that fit for the doctors need and pushing anti depressants in a very scapegoat way across specialties. Good luck if you still decide to go here and please get second opinions on their opinions, I've had other doctors apologize to me for my experiences at holy name, shake their heads in disbelief and even tell me their ashamed for...

I just left an appointment with my Doctor Who is a Nuro psychologist to get the results of the three hour neuropsych test that I took last week. I got the most fantastic and encouraging news one could get. He said that my cognitive dysfunctions, which are primarily memory and foggy brain issues, were totally reversible and were due primarily to lack of quality sleep. The amazing thing is this man is a specialist in sleep disorders and is doing a sleep Study that he says I am a perfect candidate for and has enrolled me for the next opening and feels that nothing that I’m experiencing is due to any organ dysfunction; that all of my brain functions are operating at or above normal for my age and given my history and he is 100% certain that all of the cognitive issues that I am experiencing such as foggy brain short term memory decline and fatigue, he’s 100% certain that all of that can be reversed in his sleep therapy workshop which involves no drugs whatsoever which has made me over-the-top with enthusiasm. So I just wanted to give a shout out to everyone who might be experiencing memory loss or fatigue or Issues with their cognitive functioning and might be thinking, as I was, that it might be the onset of either Alzheimer’s or dementia, please get yourself tested. It could be none of that and it could be a completely reversible condition once you’re aware of it. This man took me through all of my brain scans, showed me every section of the brain, showed me how well each was functioning, and then took me through the results of the three hour testing that I had done on everything imaginable, and Scored very well on everything and between the two, the brain scan and the actual testing, it led to this conclusion that my brain is capable of functioning perfectly once it has the fuel that it needs to operate, and that fuel is quality sleep, which I have not been getting, so I am just so thrilled that due to synchronicity, God, the universe, however you wanna put it; through a series of really excellent doctors who have known me for a long time who care about me, who know that I care about myself, I was led to this one particular Doctor Who is an expert in the field, so I just want to shout out a big thanks to God, the universe, to Dr. Portnoy and Dr Kreibich, and all of my healthcare providers who have taken excellent care of Me to make sure that I’m around for a long time to keep doing what I’m...

They outsource their ambulance bills to coronis health. Holy name said they can’t help with the issue either.. this outsourced company sent a bill to collections after only sending one invoice (and that invoice was inaccurate as they did not send it to insurance!).

This bill originated from an holy name ambulance ride to Hackensack Hospital, initially invoiced at a much higher amount. I was instructed to ensure that the insurance information was sent. Upon checking my insurance account online, I observed that the bill was still processing, and I decided to wait for an updated bill before making a payment.

Unfortunately, I never received any subsequent bill or notification that the account was in danger of being sent to collections. On Thursday, July 11, I received a letter from a collections agency indicating that this account had been forwarded to them. After navigating through several departments at Holy Name, I learned that follow-up letters were reportedly sent on 3 days. However, I did not receive any of these letters.

I regularly receive ā€œinformed deliveryā€ emails from USPS, which provide images of all my mail. If necessary, I offered to provide documentation for the weeks surrounding those dates to verify that I did not receive any communication regarding this bill. I have third-party evidence from USPS to support my claim.

I was given an email to a supervisor to remedy the situation and they told me, just pay it and we will remove it from collections. I asked for further info because I had no way of paying it… the online service which they sent me required a statement Id and the number they gave me was wrong; when I tired to call, they said I couldn’t pay via phone because the account was in collections. I finally got through to the supervisor, who was incredibly rude. She did finally allow me to pay over the phone. We will see if they appropriately remove it from collections now. It also turns out that the email wasn’t even to a supervisor! When I looked up this 3rd party billing device (coronis health).., this is a common problem! And holy name absolutely refuses to get involved even though it’s their service and their contract.

This situation is unacceptable, and as a result, I am discontinuing all services with Holy Name. I never received a final bill or any follow-up notifications, and I am deeply concerned about the handling of...
