Worst OBGYN office I have ever been to. I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and my pregnancy is a high risk pregnancy. I have been to this office for 3 appointments since I found out I was pregnant. The one nurse, Rosa, is so ridiculously rude for no reason. She talks over you no matter what your saying, then she gets frustrated when shes the one not listening to your whole issue because she wants things done fast so she runs and finds what she things is the answer but you didnt even ask her the whole question. This has happened multiple times to me with her specifically. It’s very frustrating to even try to speak to her. Now the dr i saw in this office, Hazel Brana-Leon, I’m honestly not even sure how she’s an OBGYN if I’m being completely honest. I got told by her that i gave them my wrong last period, when I explained multiple times to both her and Rosa, i have PCOS, and when you have pcos you don’t ovulate correctly, which anyone who has PCOS or is in women’s health knows that. And I have proof of this because i went to my new OB today and they got all the paperwork they could from all my charts beforehand to help me the best they could because I expressed how unhappy i was with this OB. And they showed me the papers that were from this OB saying last period was “unknown”. Which is honestly ridiculous because we we’re actively trying, I was tracking EVERYTHING. This doctor has no clue what PCOS is. I was diagnosed with it years ago and it is very common. I’ve had to correct both Rosa and Dr Brana so many times about what PCOS is, it’s honestly scary that she has a medical degree. I also wanted my hormones tested during my second appointment, mainly progesterone and estrogen i was concerned about, because those are the hormones that are affected in pregnancy, especially with PCOS, and if they are not high enough you will miscarry. I already had one miscarriage last year, which she was told as well. It was a fight and a half with the dr and she would still only test progesterone. I completely understand that no person, no matter how many degrees you have, knows everything. But if you can’t help a patient then either show them the door, help them find a new dr that can help them, or just admit you don’t know something and do your research after my appointment and before my new appointment so you can have the correct information. I don’t expect every doctor to know everything at all. But this is in her field. And PCOS is very common. And a simple google search could give you more information about PCOS than she knows with a medical degree. All I have to say is this is the worst office and doctor i have ever delt with. I will never be returning back. And if you are pregnant and high risk, for any reason, i wouldn’t even bother with...
Read moreGiving it a 1 because I can’t give a 0. Should’ve read the reviews before making an appt.
Fast forward, she gave me an appt for the next morning which was great but I was told no kids. I’m a SAHM of 2 toddlers with working family members. It was too late to find childcare so they were going to allow me to bring my kids. Ok, cool, ty.
I get there. Both receptionists don’t even look at me or greet me. I had to greet them. They give me my paperwork which I begin filling out. Then, the blonde Hispanic receptionist asks me for my insurance cards. I told her I had them yesterday but couldn’t find them this morning but I had pics of them from my portal. She gave me this annoyed rude look. That right there already set me off.
I finally get called in, Rosa pulls me aside for paperwork. My 1 yr old is getting fussy so she says I can hold him while we finish up. She goes to take my blood pressure & my little guy leans on the tube which causes it to error. She said it’s fine we’ll get it another time which was fine but her face & tone just showed annoyance at the fact that I had my kids. Again, I don’t know how to explain it. No one said anything about my kids but you could just feel the annoyance & lack of kid friendliness there.
I go into the exam room & I just couldn’t take it anymore. I’m one of those that hates being exposed (physically) & needs to feel very comfortable with my OB. I jetted out of there & am never going back.
Horrible staff & I could hear the doc at one point. Not the type of personality I’m looking for either. The other negative reviews on here for her describe her...
Read moreI have been a patient of Dr Brana for almost 10 years and I am very happy having her as my Gyn. So happy that when my daughter turned of age, she also became her patient. We both have no problem with Dr Brana, but in all my years as her patient I never had a problem with the front desk staff until last year with my daughter. When there was an incident with my daughter's appt last year, I made no big issue because it was resolved on the spot. But then to have another incident, I could not stay silent. We arrived today 3/10 at 5pm bcas she had a follow up appt, which was made in February. When we arrived, the office staff was ready to leave bcas they said all appointments were cancelled. My daughter NEVER received a call about canceling or rescheduling , but, the girl at the front desk, MERCEDES, insisted that she was called. When looking up the call log in the computer, another employee, saw that it says MERCEDES was the one that SUPPOSEDLY called my daughter. So we looked at my daughter's phone and looked at the date that MERCEDES supposedly called and saw there were NO messages. So MERCEDES replied bcas "there was no answer " so she couldn't leave a message . So we told her there wasn't even a MISSED CALL on her call log and instead of MERCEDES owning up to her mistake or lies about ever calling her, she then replied with a rude comment towards my daughter. If MERCEDES claims there was "no answer", why didn't MERCEDES keep trying to get in touch with my daughter! If you write "no answer " to her appointment, wouldn't you think my daughter would still show up because NOBODY tried to reach her about the cancellation!! COMMON SENSE! I am not happy on how unprofessional MERCEDES was towards us. Thank goodness her co worker calmly tried to assist us because I could not stop raising my voice. I was VERY frustrated because not only did I leave work early to pick up my daughter from campus, it also took us an hour to get there. Please have a BETTER SYSTEM with appointments and teach MERCEDES to be professional and show some office etiquette! I still want to call and speak with the office...
