Teaneck Public Library — Attraction in Teaneck Township

The library itself is like a regular library and the classes are very nice…but why does the staff have to be so rude for literally no reason? I’ve been here 4 times and so far every single time I have gotten an attitude from the women at the desk. I’m talking about the front desk as well as the one near the little kids section. I mistakenly know my first time went to check out a kids book at the desk in the kids section and was treated like I just broke a huge rule or something by not knowing I could only check out books at the front desk. The gray haired woman with the short hair at the front desk is straight PETTY. She refuses to admit you can look someone up by name (I was picking a book up that my husband reserved and didn’t have his card on me). This is a great library to do some hard core studying. They have a great children's section and several areas for adults or teens to hunker down and really immerse yourself in their books. There are tables specifically in the basement of the library for group studying where you can chat amongst yourselves and there are other areas in the main level of the library catered to peace and quiet. What makes this library unique is the cubicles at the far end of the library. The cubicles provide a distraction free environment which makes one focus specifically on whatever task they need to get done. This is my favorite local library. I live in Bergen County and I always come to this library if I intend on working for a long time. They are MUCH larger than the library in my town. There is always seating when I've gone and they have extension cords under the tables in the computer room so you can easily charge your laptop and phone! There is enough parking except in the winter when there is lots of snow and ice on the ground. Went last winter and had to drive around for a few minutes for someone to leave. I gave it four stars bc the staff isn't the friendliest. But definitely one of the best...
