It was love at first bite. I honestly couldn’t tell you when I had my very first Jersey Pickles sample it’s just one of those core memories that blends into a long standing tradition. All I know is I’ve been going to the farmers market for years, and one day I stopped at their stand, tried a sample, and got hooked.
There’s just something special about Jersey Pickles. I could be wrong, but it feels like a family run operation, and I love seeing them posted up at the market every Saturday always smiling, working hard, and offering up the finest pickles, olives, onions, and just about anything you can submerge in a flavorful brine.
Their energy is real, and so is the line at their stand because the quality speaks for itself. I learned a phrase that suits them perfectly "El que tiene buen gusto, no necesita oro para brillar." (He who has good taste doesn’t need gold to shine) That’s exactly how I feel about these pickles. This crew has been imitated, but never duplicated. The taste, the texture, the freshness you just have to experience it for yourself to understand.
My personal go to's? The spicy olives, the full sour pickles, the hot green tomatoes, the sun-dried tomatoes (perfectly chewy and dripping in that rich oil and garlic), and don’t get me started on the roasted garlic it’s so good I often catch myself eating it straight out of the container. Lately, I’ve been crushing those pickled onions too. So tangy, so crisp, so addictive.
Normally I prefer to visit in person at the Easton Farmers Market. There’s just something about seeing the team, soaking in the vibe, and loading up on goodies that aren’t listed online. But recently, due to a change in my work schedule, I haven’t been able to make it down. So I gave their online ordering a try and let me tell you, it was flawless. Fast delivery, perfectly packed, and even came with a special pickle-handling tool at no extra charge. That doorstep convenience? It might just become my new guilty pleasure.
To the entire Jersey Pickles team: thank you te lo agradezco. You all bring something special to the market and now, straight to my door. Can’t wait to stop by in person again soon and pick up some of the market exclusives. And to anyone reading this who hasn’t tried them yet… don’t hesitate. Give them a shot.. you will not be...
Read moreWorst customer service ever! I bought through tik tok in hopes of finally trying 4 different items since they finally had a deal. My order took a few days to package, but one item was out of stock. They wrote me and I said just refund that one and send the rest that are already package and had tracking information. No response. It took days to get it figured out where I had to go to instagram to try and get through to someone, but it's a different group that handles each platform. They claimed of system issues and how people orders were just canceling on there own. Mine canceled fully with a refund with no response still from tik tok. I also got an email stating my order was canceled and refunded and a few hours later I got another email stating my package was sent, but that email didn't have a tracking number like the first one did when it was package before it was canceled with no information as to why. Then the instagram person didn't help at all to help replace the order and told me to just use the website or Amazon for another purchase, even though it was way more expensive now. No help, took days on two different social media accounts, just plan terrible for a first time experience, especially when I've waited this long to order and it all went to crap....
Read moreI was super excited and counting down the days until I got my pickle order. Overall, extremely disappointed. First of all, I received an email almost immediately after placing my order that I would receive it in 3-5 days. The pickles didn't even ship out until day 4 or 5. It took 10 days to receive my order. Not a huge deal, but don't promise 3-5 days and then not deliver on that. As for the actual pickles themselves, I ordered the sweet horseradish, the garlic spears and the hot and spicy. The Garlic spears tasted like any other pickle - not even a hint of garlic. I would have expected a lot more. 3 out of 10. The sweet horseradish were decent. Would have expected more of horseradish taste, but overall, a 7 out of 10. The Hot and Spicy pickles though - absolutely disgusting. No heat, no spice, no zest, and absolutely gross taste. I tried to give them to a few of my pickle loving friends and no one liked them either, so that jar went straight to the trash can. I am a MASSIVE pickle lover - have an entire mini-fridge dedicated to just pickles of all different brands, so I was really looking forward to having another brand to add. Sad to say that won't be happening. Disappointment factor is...
