I attended SCNM and I am very happy with my choice. I currently practice in a thriving clinic in Chandler Az. I am writing this review because I think its important for a successful graduate to put in their two cents.
I received a solid education in medicine. I know this because what I do works. I practice effective medicine in my office. Patients come back because they get well. They send in their friends and family because they see what we do works.
Was my education complete? It was as complete as a 4 year medical program can provide. It is important to realize that graduating from medical school is only the first step in a lifetime of education.
Was it financially worth it? Depends on what you value. I wake up every day excited to do what I do. I love my job. That is a priceless thing. If you value long term career satisfaction and this is the career you are called to- do it.
Remember though, graduation does not guarantee success. This is not the career path for those who feel entitled, it is for those with a strong work ethic and a strong entrepreneurial streak.

Read moreAmazing potential here, and some great individuals. Admissions was amazing! Natural Advantage was awesome! The students were a real blessing to any profession they might enter. However, there seemed to be a drive to raise money that may have exceeded their capacity to responsibly recruit the type of students they really need. SCNM also seems to be set on raising board scores, unfortunately it felt that they were doing so by attempting to remove students from the pool prior to boards rather than by improving their educational game plan. The faculty were split in my experience, between those who wanted to see potential doctors succeed and those who set out to bring their personal bias into the instructional arena. As I was a transfer student I felt that SCNM's evaluation of my transcripts did not fairly and supportively delineate what I was coming in with; oddly this appeared as a confusing blend of over and under estimation.
I think SCNM could be one of the best schools in the United States, but it has a LONG way to go. However, I remain a friendly supporter of their best...
Read moreI choose to go to SCNM because of its commitment to innovation and healthcare. This school constantly is trying to find ways to standout and be the best. This school has grown so much in the last 6 years building a beautiful community commons building which contains the pain relief center which was recently endowed as the Neil Riordan Center for Regenerative Medicine. There is no other Naturopathic Medical school that has a clinic that focusing in pain and regenerative medicine.Their research department has recently had a multi million dollar expansion to the Ric Scalzo Institute for Botanical Medicine which is state of the art and the biggest of its kind in the US. They have expanded to incorporate Master degree programs. The people here are very friendly. NPLEX scores are way higher here than at other ND schools. The school excels at representing science based medicine while upholding the values of Naturopathic Medicine. I am proud to say that I am a graduate of SCNM. I am excited to see what the future...
