I have been going to this particular salon for years and I am moving on today. They have a high turn over and I would prefer to keep the same stylist however they can’t seem to keep employees. The last few ladies I saw were great and every time I go to rebook they’ve “mysteriously” moved on. And I hate having to explain to each new stylist (considering my hair has been done differently every time NOT BY CHOICE) how I’d like my hair done. Today for probably (and I am not being dramatic) my 5th or 6th stylist is “no longer with the company” Why can’t they keep their stylists? I asked to speak to the manager the manager and I were in the middle of a conversation when she transferred me with NO warning to someone else. This person I was transferred to confirmed that every single time that I’ve gotten my hair done there it’s been different and there’s been inconsistencies.....they’re trying to charge me more than I’ve ever been charged for a service that I’ve been getting for years. I tried to be polite. I’ve tried to be flexible but I’d really like a regular stylist who does the same thing every single time same service....so I will be taking my money elsewhere. I understand ppl move on but that’s too much. I would suggest you do your research on the place/stylist and proceed with caution because the customer service and even the actual service really isn’t worth the trouble if I have to explain myself and the charge is different EVERY TIME. I’m in a business based off of my looks so this is more than just looking nice. I have seen ATLEAST 5 or more different stylists and one time I scheduled with someone and when I got there they pushed me on to another stylist, and today I was offered an appt with the salon manager at a rate almost double. Their polite and nice on the phone but it’s fake. I am done.
Sidenote african American or mixed ladies plz avoid this place as well. My gf was treated horribly because of the “texture” of her hair. She got a service by somebody who did really well so she decided to go back and that person also mysteriously no longer works with them either so she had to see somebody new and was charged more just like I was for the same service she had...
Read moreI have had several bad experiences with this store. I am a very heavy woman, but do my best to do my makeup and dress nicely every time I go out, even if just to run out and do errands. The first time I EVER went into an Ulta was about 6 months ago at this location. I had my makeup and hair done before I walked in so I was feeling good, knowing this would be intimidating, walking into a beauty store. I walked in and recieved welcomes and offers for help, though I didn't need any. Two women dressed very casually, in gym clothes, walked in behind me and we're greeted equally as well, so I thought, " great this is a place that is accepting. You can come in post work out and still be treated well." I ended up spending a fair amount that day, in part due to that warm greeting. I ended up coming back a few days later to return an item because I had been mis-informed about it. The "associate" who showed it to me turned out to be a vendor, only interested in pushing their line of products, not listening to the customer. I walked in that second time, and this time I was in post work out gym gear. Nothing crazy, but as casual as those women who walked in behind me the first day I visited the store. Well I was ignored, an associate that had been helpful on the first visit, literally tried to hide behind a display so she wouldn't be seen and have to help me. The manager scoffed at me and tried to say I OBVIOUSLY didn't know anything about makeup, which was why I needed to make the return. They intensely scrutinized my return and asked for a photo ID to match to my credit card, despite the fact I was a platinum member after only having made the one prior purchase. I felt belittled and looked down on. But I decided to do an experiment. So I waited an month, and went back into the store, dressed up again. But this time I had my make up done, but I was wearing casual clothes. I was again looked down on and snubbed. Needless to say, I won't be giving this Ulta any more of...
Read moreI went to get my hair colored & cut the day before i left for Mexico, this was a last resort because my salon appointment canceled on me. I went in to get colored and some highlights. The color i wanted wasn’t exactly what i wanted but u went with it & she cut my bangs off. I specifically said “do not cut my bangs above my eyebrows, i jus want a trim so it’s not in my face” i showed pictures and explained what i wanted MULTIPLE times. At the end of the cut i’m on the verge of tears. I said this isn’t what i wanted can we fix this? My bangs looked like they were cut in a straight line and were well above my eyebrows. The worst bang cut i have ever had! & not to mention the prices of this were way too expensive, considering i’ve done the same color & cut at another ULTA and it wasn’t even near this price. I was in Mexico for a week so i couldn’t go in to get a refund or etc but i did call and explain. When i get back to town, they tell me they can’t do a refund or anything because it’s been over a week, yet i was out of town. It didn’t seem like they cared about my bangs being cut off, there’s literally nothing else you can do but wait, so they could’ve given me anything if they felt bad. In short, i would not get your hair done here. The pricing is way too expensive, real salons will do it for the right price & obviously, do a better job. I asked over & over & over not to have my bangs cut off & that’s exactly what happened. I just wish they would’ve showed me a little bit of remorse. Instead, the girl said “They aren’t to short at all” & began to straighten and pull dow my bangs in order to get me to believe my hair wasn’t just cut off? these employee’s should really own up to their mistakes. I will not be taking my business...
