My family booked Silvermoon at the last minute after another venue we booked was damaged and became unavailable.
As a family that books venues several times a year for various gatherings, we have a lot of experience with business owners and their policies.
The owners of Silvermoon were by far the most exceptional experience we've had. From the moment we arrived, they jumped in and helped us unload cars and set up, offering physical labor, suggestions and tools. If you were observing an outsider, you might assume they were a part of the family.
They offered additional services like a piano for my son to play, use of the kitchen at the last minute (which we didn't originally book because we didn't think we needed it). At one point, we were supposed to make a presentation for the birthday girl and our projector became inoperable AND we forgot a laptop to connect. The owners first attempted to set up and troubleshoot our projector and when we weren't able to, they set up their own laptop and projector to accommodate us. This service was also not booked.
The owners worked the party as consultants, liasons, servers, hosts. Everyone at the event commented on their welcoming disposition.
When the time came to start clean up, they again jumped in to assist, cutting our cleanup time in half.
Who knew that the rental of a venue space would come with setup help, project management services and hands-on cleanup?
Their agile management approach and professionalism were matched only by their calm, loving nature.
They made a customer for life.
Thank you, Silvermoon. We owe you a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe venue and wedding were beautiful, and that alone earned the two stars. The owners were quite nasty to my family, and we were nothing but accommodating and kind, as we are to everyone. I know that the owners had just returned that day from out of town and presumably that is the reason for the treatment, but there is no excuse considering what was paid. We could have been asked to do another date if it were troublesome. I did not personally encounter any hostility from Mrs. Morriss, but the husband had an absolutely terrible attitude the entire time, wearing a scowl on his face and making passive-aggressive remarks to my family, including my mother, during everything. He even shoved the microphone in my face forcefully when it was time to announce the dance, which was noticeable to everyone. We carried on during the event without acknowledging these things, but his behavior was absolutely shameful and I can only speculate it had something to do with the travel and my family coming from more of a working-class background than he might've been accustomed to. I am glad to see here that apparently others have not had the same experience. So I am clear, the children's theater is great and I know many wonderful people who participate in it. This review of the wedding venue is in no way...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeautiful venue with lots of space and all of the needed amenities for a wedding reception. The reason for my 3 star review is because I was saddened the day after my event when my family told me about some of the things that transpired with Diana, including her telling my brother to āget your people and get outā when he asked at the end of the night what he could do to help clean. Just know that they live upstairs so they will be visible throughout your entire event although I didnāt mind because I didnāt feel like it was overkill. She also tried to insert herself when my family was decorating. She was extremely nice and pleasant to my husband and I but because of how she treated my family I have to...
