People are nice and get you in asap. However, the treatment and combing did not get rid of our lice eggs, which are so small no one who combed us can see them and the lot combs are not catching them. We were combed here twice and have been using the entire product line, plus their live comb, which I spent roughly $100 on at our first visit. The lice continue to hatch each day, and we comb every day using their spiral toothed, fine lice comb. Just be informed. They kept telling us the images we took of live lice, and lice we caught and preserved in tape, were not lice and too small. They are from our heads, and under a jewelers magnifying glass they have six legs with claws, the oblong body shape, and antennas.
*I wanted to come back and apologize for my review above, and edited my review to 5 stars. My family and I went through a disturbing and stressful event of what turned out to be bird mites entering our home from bird nests in our eves. Bird mites are essentially bird lice, and in their beginning stages of their life cycle have six legs, but then grow two more legs and end up with eight, and they are significantly smaller than head lice (they’re part of the arachnid family). They were crawling into our hair and crawling on our bodies, biting us because the birds had left the nests. Luckily, they wash out of your hair every time you shower, and cannot reproduce on humans or complete their life cycle. Removing the nests takes care of it. Nonetheless, it was NOT lice afterall, and the Head Helpers employees were exceptional, accommodating, and kind. Their products (I bought the complete set) are so good and made our hair so soft and smell great! I would definitely go back if we ever encounter lice again. They were amazing with combing me and my baby...
Read moreWe went on vacay up north when I discovered my 11 year had lice. I was in a little mountain town with one pharmacy and one general store. I was able to score a lice kit from the pharmacy and proceeded to try and handle the situation myself considering we would be gone for 11 days and this was day one! I gave my daughter 2 treatments and combed almost every day. I knew that there was no way I could handle this myself. When we came home I immediately googled lice salons near me and stumbled upon Amy at my hair helpers I texted her and she got back to me instantly and was able to squeeze me in the very next day. Once I got there Jackie was our girl. She spent two hours combing through my daughter’s thick /curly hair . She was patient, gentle and so sweet. We talked about life, kids and lice and have to keep these little buggers far away from us for good. Once she was done with my daughter, she checked me and luckily I was in the clear. We go back in a few days to recheck and I will be recommending Jackie and Amy to everyone I know that needs lice treatment. They...
Read moreWhen I found out that my daughter had lice, I called her pediatrician and they advised that I go to a drug store to get Rid or Nix. They couldn't see us in the office because they don't treat lice but said we could easily take care of it at home. The at home treatment was completely unsuccessful. The shampoo did not kill the lice and the comb did not take the eggs out of her hair. That's when I started to panic. My husband looked online and My Hair Helpers popped up, he called and they took us on a Friday night within 15 minutes. Amy greeted us at the door and her caring disposition completely put us at ease. Her salon is clean and comfortable and she and Jackie are so friendly and sweet. I had lice as well so we both got treated and we just had our re-checks and we are in the clear! I would highly recommend My Hair Helpers, I honestly don't know what we would have done without Amy and...
