Like a lot of other customers that have shared here, I had an incredibly negative customer service experience here. I put in a pickup order this afternoon and when I called to verify a pickup time I was told they just received my order and it wouldnât be available until the end of the day despite me putting in the order as soon as they opened, two hours before I called. I live far from this location and I was running errands in the area, so I asked if it would be quicker for me to come in and shop for myself. To which the associated bluntly responded âis it that hard for you to just wait?â and made several mentions that the store is understaffed at the time. While I understand that stress, it does not give you an excuse to treat customers poorly. At this point I was no longer interested in continuing my order with them and decided to shop elsewhere and ended the call after asking the associate to cancel the order. Then I realized I needed to confirm the cancellation so I called back and another associate answered the phone and she was incredibly kind, helpful and apologetic for her co-workers behavior. She then confirmed the order would be ready within the hour so I went to finish the rest of my errands and got the text that my order was ready almost immediately. As I was driving to the store about a half hour after receiving that text, I got a call from the associate with the poor attitude claiming they texted me over two hours ago and that I needed to get to the store immediately even though it says on the site theyâll hold the order for longer than that. First my order wasnât going to be ready til the end of the day and now I need to hurry up and come get it?    Read moreI am writing in regards to a recent online order I made of several dinner plates, salad plates and pasta bowls that I placed with World Market. I have always been a fan of this store due to their quality and selection of home good products and reasonable prices. When the plates arrived a small plate was broken and a large plate was chipped. I wasn't upset about this at all and found it totally understandable. To ship almost $300 of plates and not have a single one break or chip; I would have found surprising. I make many online orders. When I called customer service to find out the best way to make this return, I spoke with Marquon. He was truly WONDERFUL!!! He helped me in every way he could looking at all options for my return. When ordering them online they were sets of 4. Could I go to the store to get singles?? He answered all my questions. I feel he went above and beyond!! I have been shopping online for longer than I can remember for home goods and Marquon gave me 1 of the absolute BEST customer service experiences I have ever had in my entire life. He literally brightened my day by his attitude and the way he helped me. I know I am only talking about ordering some plates here, but It truly seems like he cares about people. It is the simple things in life and kindness I feel there is just too little of.    Read moreSo I have a service dog because I have poster medic stress disorder and extreme and Extreme anxiety my dog got excited because a little girl was trying to play with her and then the cashier asked me to remove my dog from the store then the manager came up and asked me to please leave the store and as that was happening I went to an extreme panic attack mind you then either the manager or the clerk were very helpful whatsoever they were making fun of me and hovering close by they made me a complete embarrassment to the whole store sadly I was very disappointed in the service that was provided or the empathy about what is not shown to me at all maybe you guys at world market should train your store people Store clerks with a little more training in how to deal with somebody who has mental disabilities because they are really shitty nobody asked me if I needed any help they just wanted to get me out of the store so I wouldnât embarrass anybody else it makes me sick to think that customer service has died I will never go back to the store and I will make sure that everybody I know Also knows how crappy...
