85°C Bakery Café – A Dessert Lover’s Paradise at Washington Square Mall
Every visit to Washington Square Mall is incomplete without a stop at 85°C Bakery Café. This delightful bakery has become the highlight of my trips, consistently drawing me in with its irresistible offerings.
From the moment you approach, the enticing aroma of freshly baked goods envelops you, making it nearly impossible to resist stepping inside. The bakery is perpetually bustling, often with lines extending out the door—a testament to its well-deserved popularity. Yet, the efficient and friendly staff ensure that the wait is always worthwhile.
Upon entering, you’re greeted by a visual feast: an array of over 50 varieties of pastries baked fresh hourly, each more tempting than the last. The selection is so vast that it’s akin to being a child in a candy store, with choices ranging from savory to sweet, and everything in between. The refrigerated section showcases beautifully crafted cakes and desserts, each piece a work of art that’s almost too beautiful to eat.
Some standout items include the Tiramisu Cheesecake, a creamy Basque cheesecake topped with tiramisu mousse and cocoa powder, and the Lemon Egg Tart, featuring a flaky golden crust filled with rich custard, topped with buttercream icing and zesty lemon custard. Each pastry is not only delicious but also visually stunning, making the selection process both a joy and a challenge.
The packaging is equally impressive, with each item carefully boxed, ensuring that your treats arrive home in perfect condition. This attention to detail enhances the overall experience, adding a touch of elegance to every purchase.
Given the indulgent nature of these delectable desserts, I find it essential to balance my visits with a stroll around the mall, both to enjoy some window shopping and to justify the extra calories. But truth be told, every bite is worth it. The combination of flavors, textures, and the sheer variety ensures that there’s always something new to try, making each visit as exciting as the last.
In conclusion, 85°C Bakery Café is more than just a bakery; it’s a destination that promises a sensory delight, leaving you eagerly anticipating...
Read moreAmazing Asian pastries! Excellent prices, convenient in-and-out location at the mall. It's not a traditional bakery where everything is in a display case and behind a counter. They have some things you have to order at the counter, but most of their pastries are self serve, individually wrapped, in bins/baskets. Which isn't a problem, with the exception that they all look the same, so you don't know which is which! Therefore, they really need to label the pastry bins better, with the name and description of the pastry, and the ingredients they contain. My bf has brought these to me several times, but this was the first time I had been there myself. There were several people in there that day that had never been there either - none of us knew what anything was or what the process was - it was very frustrating and confusing. These are Asian pastries with ingredients and flavors that most of us are unfamiliar with, which makes it even more important that they label them with descriptions. Furthermore, my daughter has several severe food allergies, including nuts, therefore, it would be great to have the ingredients listed as well. Hopefully, they'll fix the pastry identification situation, because they are soooo good I don't want to have to stop going! A few of my favorites that I would highly recommend (if you can figure out which ones they are lol) are the mini loaf of sweet bread (omg, it's the best sweet bread I've ever had!), there's one with a mango creme on the inside and another with berries, but my very favorite is one that has some raisin/sugar stuff inside of it and it's probably the best tasting pastry I've ever had - and I really wish I could tell you the name of it! You have to try this one, so just ask which one has the raisins in...
Read moreI give the chain 5 stars but this location has serious issues. I’m used to the locations in Seattle. In the app I had a free milk tea, which I usually upgrade to a large size rose milk tea for an extra dollar, 50 cents for the large size and 50 cents for the flavor. They couldn’t accommodate the Rose flavoring because I didn’t have a coupon for rose flavored milk tea but they could accommodate the large size for an extra 50 cents??? That was one thing, the other thing is I asked a simple question. If they sold regular garlic bread here as it was a is my favorite item at 85 degrees. They said no. While I’m waiting in line some one brought out garlic bread. I’m normally very understanding because I’ve worked retail, and I love 85 degrees, maybe I’m just having a bad day, but I left frustrated enough to write a 3 star review lol I just need somewhere to vent. Please hire more staff 85 degree manager, I could tell they were doing the best they could but over working staff really frustrates customers and your hard...
