Sofo Foods — Attraction in Toledo

BUYERS BEWARE!! I normally love shopping at Sofo's & I love their products! Today (4/16/23) I went shopping at Sofo's & was purchasing La Molisana Spaghetti Noodles! I also noticed that Sofo's had a great sale on the same brand of Pasta Noodles at 10/$10! I asked the manager of the department about what was on Sale & she said that only the 1 type of La Molisana noodles were on sale for 10/$10! Since I decided to purchase 10 of these items, as I was shopping, I noticed that the "Use by" date was 2/23 on all of these noodles, over 1 year out-dated!!!! I went up to the resister to let them know of these outdated products & they referred me to the " manager" of that dept, who happened to be the same lady that I spoke with about the sale! When I brought the "use by" out-dated items to her attention, she stated that she knew that & that is why they were on Sale!!!???? I said that I was shocked that they were selling such out-dated items, sale or no sale & she continued to tell me that they were fine & that "it's not like it's a sauce or anything!" I'm very disappointed that Sofo's would try to sell such out-dated "use by" products that are over a year out of date! Buyers Please check all the dates on products purchased at Sofo's so the same this doesn't happen to you, since their "Lady Manager" there seems to think this is perfectly fine to sell outdated products by...

Less than. Zero. First & Last visit, I absolutely would never shop there again. When I greeted the woman behind the deli counter she wouldn't acknowledge me and then asked if I wanted something. I asked for a sample of the chicken salad and she actually rolled her eyes at me! Then when I asked for a pound she tried to give me .65?!? Having had enough of her nasty attitude I threw the chicken salad back in her deli pit and said, "No thanks." A little bit later when I called to speak to the manager this rude boy actually hung up on me, so I had to call again. It's just not the same place it was years ago. The atmosphere is different. It used to feel like a family place instead of a chain. Now, you can't really tell the difference. Employees are not very friendly and quality on some of the items like fresh meats have decreased even though prices have increased.

Went and took my mother yesterday evening. I must say, what a welcome change to Sofo's! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We talked about how the family has been coming for generations and how many years ago people were elbow to elbow with no room to move. Store looks great. We got everything we wanted and then some.
