Love D.T.-T.R. Bubby's Beanery is something awesome. Their coffee and pastries are top shelf. (Starbucks who??? Haha 😂) Coolest decor that I have ever seen in a coffeehouse or anywhere for that matter. Musical showcases, just incredible collections everything from The Beatles and Bob Dylan to Colter Wall and anything else one could possibly think of. When they had the giant canvas paintings (last October) they were AWESOME. Owner is cool and very friendly. Everyone is down to Earth. Nice place to chill out. Really loving their current charity work. I love how its quite literally ALL ABOUT THE COMMUNITY. I remember hearing some live music at some point too. Definitely worth the trip from across town.
The library is beautiful but the parking is a joke. Handicap spaces are very limited. At the time we were new to the area we found a handicap on the side and a woman came running out of the building and started screaming very loudly and rudely at us to move our car as she was hopping into a carpool to leave. It was later in the day after 5pm or so. I was taken aback, didn't know how to react. I just stood there trying to figure out what had happened. Which just led her to scream even louder and significantly more rude. She very clearly embarrassed her coworkers which was pretty unprofessional and disgusting. (Especially bc we use walking aides). Shame on her. Although, I don't believe she worked for the library. I think she had something to do with the building behind it or next door so that was pretty off-putting. Being handicapped and parking and taking the time to get out just to be excessively screamed at turned my stomach. Even as we were getting back inside the car she was STILL GOING. Other than that I've never had a problem with anyone associated with the library or Downtown Area. The staff is always very kind and helpful but there's always...
Read moreDon't waste your time. Downtown Toms River has managed to screw up what was once a terrific market. It's no longer a farmers market as there are no farmers. A person buying produce at the produce terminal and selling it isn't a farmer. There used to be a of minimum 5 booths with real farmers who sold fruits and vegetables that they grew themselves. They've been replaced by someone selling kitchen remodeling, someone selling soap, someone selling prayers and other non...
