Ordered to go. Ordered on the phone. The person only knows the menu by the menu number. We ordered the Banh Xeo, Pho, and Hu Tieu Seafood.

Nicely packaged. Banh Xeo, taste is all wrong. The dipping sauce was not good, like dipping in sugar fish sauce. The ingredients was not complementing, at least not authentic ingredients. They had grilled chicken and shrimp stuffing. They got the bean sprouts right. They packaged it in a container which made it soggy. So I wont comment on it being soggy, but distributing wise, they should wrap it in a porous paper. But can't win em all.

Pho broth was mediocre. They had the balance of sweet and salty but the aromatics were missing. Didn't get the cloves and cinnamon at all. Points given for having all the good stuff, tripe, brisket, beef balls, and rare steak.

Hu Tieu Seafood, was a bad attempt. The broth is good. There isn't really a standard for this dish. However, they used egg noodles which may be a different take. I didn't like it. Rice noodles is the usual item.

Price was not cheap. Overall, two stars. Okay to eat once, but nothing to bring me back.

*EDIT in response to owner comment:

I haven't made your business bad. I have not lied, this is...

I've had the pleasure of dining at Pho 34 twice now, and I'm already hooked! This new spot has quickly become my go-to for authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

The first time I visited, I ordered pho tai and summer rolls to go. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic and traveled incredibly well. The pho broth was rich and flavorful, and the thinly sliced rare steak was cooked to perfection. The summer rolls were fresh and packed with flavor.

I was so impressed with my first experience that I couldn't wait to go back. This time, I opted for summer rolls again (they're just that good) and a vermicelli bowl. The vermicelli bowl was by far the best I’ve ever had! The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the accompanying grilled pork, chicken and shrimp were all tender and full of flavor.

If you're a fan of Vietnamese food, I highly recommend giving Pho 34 a try. It's easily the best pho in the area, and I'm a pretty picky when it comes to pho! I can't wait to go back and explore more of their...

Food was a hit and miss. Ordered the super bowl, but instead of waitress adding extra herbs she added extra shredded pork. I assumed (incorrectly) the shredded pork was like pulled pork. It resembles sandy tooth floss that leaves a residual funkiness in your palate that’s hard to place. My mistake with not asking questions. The grilled pork was also forgotten. So I picked out the shredded pork and ultimately paid $4 more for the same dish my husband got with more labor to remove the intertwined shredded pork. Waitress was incredibly nice, but was the only server in the restaurant. We waited 15-20 minutes for our bill and I think it would have been longer if my husband didn’t finally get her attention. Another table walked out while we were there since they sat for a while without service. Mixed feelings about this restaurant because the fresh rolls were good and my husband was happy with his...

disclaimer: this is strictly about the beef rib pho ! this downtown spot is located on a busy corner. no free parking; meter street parking a block or 2 away. when I was there that day there were a lot of commotion. really turned me off to the experience of getting here and having to pay. like Toms River isn't already gouging folks for money enough. anyway... the nice waitress recommended the beef rib over their special...because I asked which is bigger/more meat. I'm very glad she recommend that because the beef rib was phenomenonal! not to use that word lightly but the flavor that it was cooked in, almost grilled like w lemongrass beforehand is truly complimentary to the pho broth. super tender and flavorful! I'd go back for the beef rib alone! coffee was ok... if I was really craving that I'd come back...but on a less busy day. not a fan of the traffic and congestion in the area.
