Geppetto Osteria e Bisteccheria — Restaurant in Torrington

We had the most incredible dining experience at Geppetto Osteria e Bisteccheria in Torrington. From start to finish, every course was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and perfectly portioned for sharing.

Our group of seven began with the meat and cheese board, which was an excellent introduction—thoughtfully curated, with high-quality selections that paired beautifully with wine. The next course was a showstopper: the quail dish was tender and rich, the Burrata creamy and fresh, the mussels perfectly cooked in a flavorful broth, and the vegetable appetizer a delightful balance of textures and flavors.

We then moved on to four different house-made pasta dishes, each one unique and delicious—true comfort food elevated to an art form. Following that, we shared the 24 oz steak, cooked to perfection with a beautiful crust and juicy center, alongside the pork chop entrée, which was equally impressive with deep, savory flavor.

Dessert was no afterthought here. We enjoyed the coconut and blueberry tart, the most delicate balance of sweet and tart; the classic tiramisu, light yet decadent; and the chocolate tort, rich and indulgent—the perfect finale to an unforgettable meal.

What made the night even more special was the warm and attentive service. Every dish was paced perfectly, allowing us to savor each course without feeling rushed. Sharing everything family-style made the experience feel celebratory and communal, just as dining out should be.

Where do I start.... Since I was flying in from Fort Lauderdale to see my mother who is not doing so good, my sister who was out of town suggested a nice dinner with our mother at Geppetto's. Well upon entering the vibe was great but the menu was a little stuffy for me and mom. The Chef & Owner wh know of my Sister & Brother-In Law, came over to welcome us and go over the menue and how they prep and prepare their exotic dishes they change throughout the week. The really took time out to make me feel comfortable and my mother that we placed an order which one came prepped and the other they were able to arrange how it could be adapted for our picky mother.

In July 2024, we had the fortune of eating at this restaurant for the first time while on a trip from Florida. Every single aspect of our dining experience was wonderful from the kind, welcoming, and attentive staff, to the atmosphere, to the delicious food, and the cherry on top at the end of our meal one of the owners, Michelle Pulixi, came out of the kitchen to check on us. Mrs. Pulixi is a down to earth woman with well- deserved pride in what she and her husband Carlo have built. Of course, she gave lovely props to their kids as well. What a pleasure to have met her and to enjoy a delightful evening at Geppettos.
