Creekview Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Amherst

Let me first say I will dine here again, but it won't be for awhile. I have frequented Creekview many times and food always delicious and service excellent but not today.

We had early dinner reservations and they sat us out on the patio but sat us in full sun. Windows were opened but much too hot in sun even after we pulled down shades. Also with shades pulled down they flapped in wind and I was hit in head several times. We asked our waitress if we could move to one of the shady tables still in the patio. There were at least 4 available but we were told no they were reserved and would have to sit inside. We were fine with that since it was much cooler. Several other people were seated in patio after us and 4 out of 5 couples also were asking to move. Your staff was rolling their eyes at all of these requests. On a hot summer day maybe you should have all shades down and windows closed, with ac on. This would have eliminated all of these problems and some very unhappy people.

Foodwise...our waitress never brought bread over to our table although people at next table were served bread. My husband said part of his vegetables were old and didn't eat them.

I have in past always enjoyed my meal and atmosphere with Creekview but not today. I am hoping this was a one off as if this had been my first time dining there it would have...

Last night my boyfriend and I came here for dinner. It’s not our first time and we’ve never really had an issue here. However, last night our waitress was terrible. From the moment she asked for our orders, she had a very “uninterested” attitude. After that, she didn’t bother to check in on us. We sat in the patio area and I watched her walk past us about 5 or 6 times, just slowly pacing in a circle and standing around. She never brought us bread, as she did for the other table she served after us. Every other employee was working hard and running around. Meanwhile, I watched her stand around while everyone else was hard at work. She never checked on our meals until a young waiter, who wasn’t even ours, made sure our waters were refilled and that everything was alright. We had been sitting for a while, clearly finished with our meals, and once again, the young waiter stopped what he was doing since he noticed she wasn’t paying any attention to us. He left the table he was cleaning to get us boxes and clear our area for us. FINALLY she appeared again to bring us the check. I have never witnessed such laziness from a waitress in my life. We dined on a super busy Friday night which we typically choose dining on less busy nights so to accommodate friends we came here. If you like an all rice veggie burger ( rice is not a vegetable) then nicely prepared. Perhaps someone will identify the veggie burger not as veggie just misnamed. The bartender varied widely with pours of wine from skimpy to a nice pour. The restaurant was too noisy for conversation. The food except for "veggie" burger was nicely presented though skimpy on some ingredients like asparagus and crab. Lots of risotto given in scallops, crab, asparagus special $24.95 . We were told only 4 scallops and these varied from tiny to one nice size scallop. The dish was overpriced for $24.95. THe serving portion " small plate" appeared plentiful yet on further eating very little crab and asparagus mainly risotto. The waiter did tell me the veggie burger was rice and beans; however, all rice. Will we come back? Perhaps there are better dishes to order that would be more satisfying?
