Meals 2 Go. 6/11@5pm Paid for double toppings on a pizza last time. They sent single toppings. They remade, and there were no problems. This time, the same thing happened, except their pizza shop is stating it is double, photos attached, you be the judge for a $34 large. I should get what I paid for. Not this time, the pizza shop is telling the manager it was double toppinings and she backs the pizza shop. Customer doesn't get what they want. Oh well, says Wegmans.
Meals to Go 12/3/23 Yet another one, disappointed. Here's from what the owner has to say. From the owner: 'Wegmans is an award-winning supermarket offering online ordering for fresh groceries and prepared foods with convenient delivery & curbside pickup. Enjoy true one-stop shopping for the highest quality resh ingredients at consistent low prices, plus freshly prepared meals to go, like sushi, subs, pizza, entrees, and sides. The word quality... means nothing here. Their pizza shop is run by people who don't care. At some point and time, someone has to start inspecting the food they send out and not just defend what's sent by their own employees. Attached are some soggy, said excuse for a pizza. Fingerprints stay, barley any sauce and toppings. Pepperoni is razor thin, and the taste is bland. What a shame to serve on Grodon Ramsay's plates and charging over $20 for a large with two toppings that shouldn't be over $10. Three photos are attached, tell me what you think.
12/9 Meals to go I ordered my cheat meal of the week yesterday (assorted sub) and saved half for the next day... when I started to eat the rest on 12/10, there was a weird chewing out of my next bite... it was hard slightly chewy. I had to stop eating and pull it out of mouth. As I pulled them out of my mouth, I almost swallowed one. When I first looked at, I thought it was a burnt mushroom that split into two. Two photos attached, threw the rest out. It was cardboard! Wegmans sub shop on SheridanDrivee has failed such a simple job. How could they messed this up? Cardboard?! Do they not care anywhere inside Wegmans.

New photos are attached. Holy cow this is the worst pizzaeria in the world! Raw dough, heavy crust, paper thin center and undercooked throughout. For a Sunday at 630pm, it shouldn't be busy. So this tell us there's no a care in the world about anyone's satisfaction. If you want to see what pure laziness looks like, order from...

I used to live in Florida where Publix is King. They loved Kroger in Alabama. In Texas, it's all about HEB and Kroger. I've also lived in Tokyo, where we did a lot of shopping at Carrefour (which is fabulous!). When I lived in Singapore, we had some great grocery stores catering to expats (Hello, Jason's!). But never have I lived anywhere where the grocery store experience was so incredibly enjoyable as it is at Wegmans.
I tell my out-of-state friends who have never experienced Wegmans that I would pay a cover charge to shop here. They can't understand why I am so passionate about a grocery store.
Until they visit.
Then they totally get it.
As much as I love Wegmans, I have a Florida foodie friend who feels equally passionate about "her" Publix. When I took her on a tour of Wegmans (because yes, it is a destination when you have out-of-state friends visit), she said, and I quote, "Oh dear! Publix can _ my __." Then she begged me to never tell Publix she said that. Use your imagination.
Rarely have I ever gone into Wegmans with my list and left without every single item. Usually, I have the opposite problem. I walk out with more than is written on my list.
Wegmans makes shopping enjoyable for a ton of reasons. First of all, they're a local store, which means you're doing something good for the community in which we live. Second, they offer top quality meats, fishes, produce, and other groceries. Their employees are so polite you'd swear they're being trucked in from the South. The restaurant and all the other extras also help them stand out. They have umbrellas for customers to use on rainy days. There's always plenty of parking. I never have to wait very long in line. If they appear to be out of stock of something, all I have to do is ask an associate and even if it isn't their department, they're happy to see if they have more "in the back," which they usually do. They will bring your groceries out to your car if you're old or infirm, if it's raining, or if you just politely ask.
Why would I want to shop...
Read moreThis is probably the nicest Wegmans in the Buffalo area, as it's produce section & deli sections are much larger than any other Wegmans store I've been to in the area. Also their fresh-cut beef, pork & seafood section is terrific, not found on this level at any other grocery store in the area I've seen. The options in both these larger areas is almost overwhelming as well, if you need it you can probably find it here. The frozen foods area is also larger, as is their "Club Shoppers" area I believe it's called, in the front left corner/side of store opposite side of deli/cafe area in front right corner/side. It's loaded with oversized "club" packs of paper towels, TP, laundry soap, etc. Also if your into different micro-brew beers, they have a very large selection of domestic & import brews divided up in aisles by regions they're originated from. In addition to all that, you can find all your favorite regulars domesticated flavors located in a large walk-in cooler. Overall very nice place to shop, just need to keep your head on a swivel, as lots of shoppers here walk around w/coffee while pushing their grocery carts, and your the last thing these individuals are stopping for when taking a corner... just a heads up from years of...
