Nice gym over all, but if you're going to sign up for the personal training program, please don't let them sweet talk you into signing your money away. Make sure they let you read the fine print. I was rushed through the whole process and not shown all the receipts. The old PT supervisor, Sumie, told me that I would be signing up for 6 months with 2-3 sessions a week - that being about 9 sessions a month I believe is what she wrote down. She said that I would do 4 sessions through the app and the rest directly through her because she wasn't in the app - she made it seem like that is normally how they do things. I had about a week of sessions with her and then she disappeared - I found out through a friend that she quit and no one from the gym contacted me. Then for the entire month of March there was no one available to work with me and I was still charged the full amount! I left multiple messages at the gym and they had no supervisor to speak to. I called corporate and they said that I have to pay out half of the total cost to end the contract (that being over $600 and at that point I only had about 5 sessions with 3 trainers at multiple different gyms over 2 months). I paid for this service at THIS location because it's easiest for me to get to. I was moments away from disputing these charges with my bank, but then I finally got a call back that they had trainers again. I decided to give it another chance and so far I've been very happy with my new trainer Rob! BUT I come to find out that what I signed up for was only 24 sessions over the course of the entire contract, 4 sessions a month once a week. The new supervisor and trainer have been trying to work with me to help make up for the missed sessions and time, but going forward I'm stuck with 4 sessions a month. That is all they are paid for and I don't want anyone to work for free, but I am still livid that I was initially lied to by the previous supervisor. I would not have signed up if I knew it was only four 25 minute sessions a month, that is not consistent enough for me and not worth the monthly charge imo. I could have just found someone who works independently and then they would at least actually see all the money, because we all know corporations take at least half. I signed up for this program to get motivated and I've lost motivation so many times already with how much of a confusing headache this has been. Corporate will NOT let you cancel (even tho my actual membership is monthly). If I end up unhappy then I will need to freeze my bank account and cancel the entire membership or else I will end up being charged another $900. At least NOW they have the price break down available for the customers to see - when I signed up there was no signs, no flyers or anything formal for me to read...it was all just hand written in front if me and false information. I thought I was paying for 9 sessions a month 𤬠some employees will literally say anything to get that commission. I will definitely be seeking out another gym...

Great gym so far, they re-opened the right way, clean. Plenty of machines, cardio, and free weights. Though the Dumbells could be in better order, kind of just randomly placed on the rack all over. Overall pretty good. Need to fix the dumbbells
Update: still the dumbells are random and have zero order whatsoever. And sauna is closed still. Update: machines are still broken, cardio machines are broken, paper towels rarely get refilled and some are broke now. 0 stars if it was possible. Gym is falling apart. Update: Dumbbells are even worse than before, in zero order and all over the place, plates are not in order as well. Cleanliness is down Edit sept 2022: Dumbells are the same and maybe even worse, machines breaking, dirty still, and either the management or owner doesn't care because it shows. Unorganized, not clean, and broken. Most wouldn't be a problem if you can see they at least care but that doesn't seem to be the case. Edit March 2023: Dumbells never fixed, machines are broken, punching bag missing and 1 is broken/leaking and they leave it up. New girl with nose ring behind juice bar is rude. Seems nothing gets fixed or cared about, looking at new gyms now. The sauna did finally get completely fixed though which is nice. EDIT Aug 2023: Would recommend not joining this gym, find a better one. Nothing gets fixed, so many treadmills are broke and have been for months and months, dumbells never get arranged in order. High school kids crowd the gym and vape in it and workers don't say anything. Gym fell apart.
Edit Sept. 2023 Everything is the same as reviews before. A few condoms have been found on the floor in locker room and sauna. Would not recommend this gym.
Edit Jan. 2024 Do not waste your time with this gym. Not sure how they're still in business. Dumbells never fixed, almost all... yes almost all the machines do not have a pin for the weight stack. Employees seem to not care at all, 1 employee male with blond hair is the only one says hey and have a goodnight and seems to actually like his job and shows he cares. Honestly save your money and go to a better gym which shouldn't be hard compared...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDo not let yourself be pressured into signing up for a personal trainer unless you understand exactly what you are getting yourself into. As far as I'm concerned this is just a giant money making scam for LA filness marketing. I was told when I signed up for training there would be no issue to cancel the training if a medical issue came up. Well unfortunately, one did & they make it extremely difficult to cancel or get any money back. My medical issue came up in early Nov 2015, I went into the gym with my doctors note explaining that I need to cancel that part of my membership & didn't just wish to put it on hold. When I submitted my letter to the personal training desk, they supposedly faxed my doctor's note to the corporate office while I was there.. When I saw charges were still coming off my credit card in January 2016, I went back & was told corporate never received the orginal & I had not filled out the proper form accompanying my letter but it should be no problem getting a refund for at least Dec 2015 & the Jan 2016 charges. I sent off the registered letter as requested. Today I was told by corporate that they could only cancel the training as of 1/11/16 when they received the letter despite the course of events. They said I could resume my personal training when my doctor okay's it and they would credit me my money in that way but in no way would they be willing to credit back the 2-3 months charges I incurred. At this point, I am so aggravated I in no way want to even be involved in any personal training from LA Fitness. I may lodge a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
The gym was ok when I was using it but I was disappointed that they didn't have more sanitary dispensers or encourage members to clean equipment in between use.
incurred. They received my registered letter on January 11th explaining I discontinued the personal training in November as per doctor's orders and would like my credit card refunded for at least the December &...
