I love this farm and their family. I grew up next door and woke up to the roosters crowing. Why do you believe it is all right to protest the killing of one cow when our nation is mass producing and killing off thousands of livestock year round? Why do you believe it's all right to protest the killing of one cow that has been cared for by the Banners as a family member? They're family has been part of the community for decades, and you feel it's your job to say don't do it? How can you say it's wrong, or better yet tell them it's wrong just because you feel bad for the animal? Devote your time to something that is causing the nation great pain, how about helping to solve the mistreatment of the factory cows? Yes, it is your Constitutional right to protest, but it is the Benner's Farm family's right to live off their livestock. I love Benner's Farm, I've been going there ever since I was a kid. They gave me my chickens and showed me a way of life that seems foreign to modern society in Three Village. So, instead of protesting and causing a potential harmful effect on their business, focus on something bigger. Place your motivation on something that will impact the Earth. Don't, ruin something that is so natural for them because you feel it's...
Read moreEASTER EVENT - NO PICTURES WITH THE BUNNY. The tickets we paid for were supposed to include photos with the Easter bunny. The bunny was there for the first 15 mins and then left. They did not stay for the whole event and when they were there, we were told to line up for the egg hunt (therefore not lined up to take photos). Never were told they were not staying for the whole event. The main reason we bought tickets was for the bunny photos. DID NOT GET WHAT WE PAID FOR.
The egg hunt took 2 mins because youâre only allowed 10 eggs. Half of the prizes were not age appropriate for my young child (such as junky candy that is hard to chew). After that, you get to roam around the farm to see the animals which ended up being the best partâŚbut you do not get photos with the bunny. Overall it was a rip off and disappointment. Donât sell tickets saying youâll get photos with the bunny, if they canât even stick around for the whole event. No one got photos of their kids with the bunny and were pissed off....
Read moreHave never been there but saw an article about a cow being slaughtered which has caused quite a stir. I grew up on long island but have resettled in texas. Farming has become my retirement career after leaving the army. It takes a great deal of time, resources, and money to raise food for your table. It also requires a lot of love and compassion. Every animal I have raised and slaughtered or taken while hunting was treated with the utmost care and compassion. This cow was lucky for the short time she was on the earth. Look at pictures and videos of what happens in feed lots, slaughter houses, and factory farms where all of your store bought foods come from. You buy organic, free range, cage free food? Good for you, now research it and find out exactly what that means according to the usda. Modern man amazes me. It all has to come from somewhere. When we butcher a chicken for dinner nothing goes to waste because we knew what the animal gave to us. How much leftovers do you throw...
