I visited the place together with my friend, who found tooth stick (open) in his plate under pancakes. After he asked a manager whether they serve all food with tooth sticks, she after consulting with servant and cook, said that it is 100% impossible. Of course, we left the place immediately after paying our bill completely. Then in the car, we saw manager running towards us. They charged us $60 more by mistake (the total bill was $23), and the manager had no better idea how to fix a problem than requesting us to come back later. We agreed to meet at certain time, even though I was proposing simply canceling the transaction with my credit card company, and breakfast be on them (given all we had there it would be fair, no?). After coming back at specified time, we did not find manager there. Even more, girl on the counter could not find our bill. She was aware about our case, but 10 min (what a waste of my time!) was not sufficient to find my bill. We left with a simple request that their main boss (not a manager) call us, say sorry and fixed the problem without our intervention. Later, the manager called me with her sorry (not mentioning tooth stick at all, only sorry for $60 extra charge) and informing that they fixed the problem and they want to give me gift card that I could use in there place (Is she serious? Me coming back to that place again?). Their main boss never called me with his or her sorry :(
From my experience, I have all rights to conclude that these people (or at least the manager) care about money more than customer's satisfaction. That is why I am giving one...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband & I ordered spinach pie & chicken marsala last night. He'd ordered the chicken marsala a week ago and it was very good! We waited at least 20 minutes for our food. Maybe that's why we got a bread basket. We didn't get one the previous week. Last' night's chicken marsala was substandard. My spinach pie was ok, but probably defrosted. And no yogurt sauce? I heard the waitress ask for it in the back. Also, my zucchini was sandy, but for some reason my husband's zucchini was not. We spoke to the manager. He was dismissive until I rolled my eyes and we asked him if he thought we were making it up about the substandard chicken marsala. He then offered to make us something else. By then, we'd eaten and were no longer hungry. The manager stated that the same guy was in the kitchen for 28 years. Really? On the way out, the manager said loudly "This guy's chicken marsala is the best!" I countered with a loud "I disagree with you." Maybe we are not locals and are therefore likely to be treated differently, but the manager's statement as we left added...
