I had a wonderful time during the John Monteleone Jazz Festival. Not only did I get to meet John again, my favorite Luthier whom I new from a guitar photo shoot 20yrs ago, but I got to see some more of his guitars. Cheers John
The three day event was fantastic and continued to get better through to the last day. It ended with an up close and personal performance by Jazz greats Martin Taylor, Frank Vignola, and Pasquale Grasso. And the finale was a wonderful performance by Martin Taylor and Alison Burns highlighting many of the songs from their new album, Songs of Nature, which was produced right here in the Catskills of New York State.
The three day event was a home run for me and I just wanted to thank Tom Manuel for his vision and his dedication to Jazz and for giving Long Island the Jazz Loft....

Read moreWhat a fun experience we had at this unique facility. The cover was 10 dollars for the show which included admission to the museum. I believe they have shows Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings...best to check the schedule. If you love jazz as I do, I highly recommend as there are so few options on Long Island. The room is upstairs and has a great vibe. Wine, beer, soda, chips and snacks are for sale. The proceeds go to the museum which was a joy to jazz history...
