My experience with this florist was not good. When I met with Amanda for my wedding flowers she was not willing to share suggestions or ideas with me as I was clueless. When I started just listing all the beautiful flowers and everything I wanted she jotted them down with no comments. At the end she told me the price would be over $3,000, naturally I was like well why? Her explanation was that I wanted all these things and thats why. I would have appreciated if she broke down the cost of everything while I was listing items and/or even when I asked her why it cost that much. Instead it felt like she just wanted to make a sale out of me. It killed my experience but I stuck with her because she was grouped into the deal I had with the wedding location. When we figured out something that worked for both of us, I sent her pictures of EXCATLY what I wanted. Most florist will have a sample bouquet for the bride to see when they come make their final payment. That should of been a red flag for me but I was caught up with all other wedding items. The day of my wedding my bridesmaid bouquet were perfect.. my centerpieces although beautiful did not have all the flowers I requested to have in them. My bouquet was the worse of all, smaller than the bridesmaid 's bouquets and nothing at all close to the picture I sent her and with completely different flowers than we discussed. I was upset and they changed the flowers to what I had picked out but it was still tiny and nothing compared to the picture I sent her. After, the wedding Amanda never reached out to me with an apology or offer to refund any money. She was very expensive, not friendly or professional. I would not recommend her and if you can go somewhere else. You should. If you must work with this place, I would recommend being on top of them and seeing a sample before...
Read moreIf you're looking for a flawless wedding day experience, I would recommend reconsidering the choice of the village florist. Unfortunately, our experience with them left much to be desired.
Firstly, the boutonnieres they provided were quite disappointing. They were wrapped in green tape and consisted of a single half-dead rose and a bunny tail, which did not reflect the level of pride and craftsmanship we expected for our wedding flowers.
Moreover, we had specifically requested white orchids in water, as it was included in the Lessings wedding package. However, the florist decided to use purple orchids instead of white, which clashed with the color scheme of khaki suits and sage ties worn by the groom and groomsmen. This color mismatch was especially noticeable at the bride and groom's table, making it an eyesore.
Additionally, I had requested a cascading bouquet, but what I received was a disappointment - just 12 half-dead flowers. What was even more disappointing was the florist's lack of communication. It seemed as if they were aware of the subpar quality of their work, as they made a swift exit without checking if we were satisfied or offering congratulations on our wedding day. This level of unprofessionalism was truly disappointing.
In conclusion, while we had high hopes for our wedding flowers, the village florist fell short of our expectations in both quality and...
Read moreThey did not have the arrangement for a holiday, for my mother, that was shown on to their website. When I found out I asked Amanda if we could make one similar. It didn't look like anything Amanda described on phone. I was shocked when I saw it. I asked for a refund and they picked the arrangement back up. She was helpful in sending photo by text of ribbon color, but couldn't send any sample of what the arrangement might look like. It's like this for many florists, unless you have a picture. I told her a color not to add and she did(?)I had to order from another florist which took more days in delivery, passing the holiday. I think she enjoys being creative but it's not good if a customer wants a certain color , look, size, style, and she goes against it. I feel bad for the bride review, who should have had some kind of samples shown to her before...
