While in the massage room getting ready for my massage, I saw through the curtain that Julie, my massage therapist, had her fingers half way up her nose
Now, to be clear, I'm not talking about a light brush of the nostril. She was digging so deep and forcefully trying get the snot out of her nose. I've never seen anyone pick their nose with such velocity and persistence.
I stood in horror only to watch it get worse. Julie pulled out a slimey snot and proceeded to roll it around between her fingers. She then wiped her nose a few times on the palm of her hand. I open the curtain still fully clothed and Julie asked me if I was ready. I then asked her if she was going to wash her hands. She responded by giggling and saying "hands are clean". I then told her that I saw her picking her nose. She was in complete shock and just said "oh!".
At this point, the experience was ruined for me so I told her that I cant do this and that I'm leaving. On my way out the receptionist asked me why I was leaving and I told her that Julie basically had her fist up her nose and wanted to rub my body with her unwashed booger hands.
The only positive that came out of this experience is that it's a great story to tell at parties. Beware of this place. You too might be subject to a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI read Sara Duffyās review and it upset me. Iāve been going to this spa for many many years. More than a decade. I only pulled this up to see what time they open. Itās 8:30am now, and Iād go in the next 15 minutes for 2 hours if I could. EVERYONE I have had and there have been many are Unbelievable and completely responsive to feedback, in English or using hand gestures. The owner is so very lovely, kind, accommodating. She will sometimes start the shoulder or hand massage and help to make you super comfortable if the masseuse is finishing with another client. I typically tip very generously and hope you do as well. They work so very hard and care so much! I buy packages which are ridiculously affordable as they give you a free service. They also stamp a card giving you an extra 20 minutes after a few visits. You canāt beat this anywhere. I travel 2-3 weeks for business, I get massages at some very high end hotels. Those arenāt any better. I keep coming back and will continue to do so! Iāll be at their door today Sunday June 25th the moment they open at 10:30. If I could give them 10 āļø stars I...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePurchased a gift certificate for my wife. When I went to sign the credit card receipt I was over charged $20.00 They apologized and said She could apply the $20.00 towards next visit or extend the massage and pay any difference. As a matter of convenience instead getting refund and recharging credit card I agreed. When my wife went for the massage she elected for the credit. Upon leaving she was she was told her tip of 17% was insufficient they wanted a minimum of what was the equivalent of 25%!!! She told them to keep the credit and she will not be back. Upon reading other reviews it seems they have a history of DEMANDING a set tip amount. This doesnāt make sense. Why would you pay 25% more for a service. it gives the impression they are pocketing the cash and employees are working for tips if that is the case be honest upfront and let clients decide what the service tip is worth. Tips should be based on good service. I would discourage anyone from using them until they change...
