This past Saturday (12/6/14) my wife and I decided to get a fast meal from Amici's. We have been there before and the food is good with a reasonable price. But this past visit changed my entire view. We ordered Mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. For our entrees my wife ordered a pepperoni roll and i ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. It took about ten minutes for our mozzarella sticks to come out. Nothing wrong with that. But a few seconds later my sandwich came out. Strange how an entree comes out quickly right after the appetizer.
So my wife and i start eating the mozzarella sticks. I'll admit they are good. About 7-8 minutes we finished the appetizer. We realized that the pepperoni roll didn't come out. Meanwhile my sandwich is still on the table getting cold. So the gentlemen i am will not eat until my wife's plate arrives. Five minute passes....ten minutes passes...FIFTEEN minute passes, still no Pepperoni roll. The guy at the counter sees that i am not eating my sandwich and says nothing to me. I guess he didn't have any concerns.
I asked one of the guys at the counter how much longer for my wife's pepperoni roll. "A few mintues was his reply." Finally one the guy says i forgot to make the roll. Now knowing that we were waiting for quite some time why wouldn't he ask if we still wanted the roll before he made it.
Finally the roll comes out. But now my food is cold. I sent it back into the kitchen to get reheated. Comes out a few mintues later but my bread is hard and the napkin underneath was sticking to it. I didn't want to it eat.
We go to pay the bill and the owner charges us FULL price. He didn't even want to compensate by not charging us for our drinks. A simple gesture like that would have gone a great way. And to think he would have said sorry. I would not go to that place because the people there do not care about their customers. The owner has bad...

Read moreTo echo the other reviews, this place is a hidden gem of italian cuisine and the specialty pizzas. My family has been coming to Amici's for over 20 years and we are continually surprised with the level of quality and taste this food has.
Amici's is hidden in a small strip mall outside the Palisades mall and worth seeking out. Looks like a pizza joint, but walk to the back of the restaurant for the real food and sit-down dining. Never too crowded because it's been the best kept secret. Now it's too good to not share the love.
Real fresh italian food, great prices and a great family who run the restaurant. Some of my favorite menu items are the bruschetta, grandma pizza & specialty pizzas and the chicken parm is killer. Portions are so large you won't leave hungry.
You'd be crazy to get this far in your food search and not go...
