Placed an online order for pickup. I went to the service desk where order pickups were marked to be. I stood at the counter waiting for the lady as she was doing something at the computer. When the rude lady at the service desk 6/13/23 around 8am acknowledged me she asked what I needed and I told her I was there for an online order pickup. She told me to wait a minute and she finished up what she was doing. When she was done she told me to read her the order number, so I did. After getting the order number she told me that, that order was at the PRO desk and to go down there. I asked her if she could point me in the correct direction as I was unfamiliar with the store. She told me it was "on the other side of the store" and went back to looking at her computer.
I walked down to the PRO service desk after realizing it was on the front of the store (Couldn't see the sign for it from where I was standing at the service desk/online pickup desk). I stood at the PRO desk looking for an associate for a good 5-7 minutes. (Yes, I timed it as I had already been at the store for a while at the other counter waiting for assistance). After standing at the counter for a while and watching the coke vendors and some what appeared to be off the clock employees walk by I finally caught a brake for a cashier (Peg) what had been helping customers at a different check out.
Once I got her attention and asked if she was able to help me another employee who said he had just clocked in, in the back put his items on the counter and started to ring himself up while she was attempting to help both of us. During this time another employee walked past talking about how there was a vehicle out in the PRO area with a flat tire. Eventually she (Peg) handed me the paperwork and told me it should be down the isle and I could pick it or wait for someone to help me. She walked me to the isle to point down it in the general direction of where I should be going.
As she was gesturing down the isle another employee walked in from outside and checked on us. He offered to go grab the material and told me he would meet me outside in the PRO area.
I went to pull up my truck and noticed the SUV with the flat tire. The gentleman and myself loaded up my truck and he went back inside while I strapped down my purchase. As I was leaving I saw the lady with the SUV and the flat tire come out and load up here purchase. As she started to pull away I turned around to flag her down. She noticed the flat time before I got back and pulled over under the canopy. As I pulled back around there was an employee helping another customer. I stopped to see if she needed help. While pulling around to park I saw another two employees walk out, look at her vehicle, and then go back inside. I parked and started helping the lady. While I was helping her I saw at least two more employees come out, look at us, and go back inside.
I understand it is not there job to help customers with their vehicles but we didn't get so much as a check in to see if everything was going ok.
Overall a highly disappointing visit. My quick stop in for a small order pickup of 5 sheets of foam insulation turned into a 43...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI purchased an Ariens snowblower here in September 2019. Being WI, it was purchased ahead of the winter season, and was not used until December 2019. The first time I used it, it died half way through the driveway. I double checked the gas (premium, no ethanol) and oil, along with the usual suspects like spark plug. Everything was fine, but it wouldn't start, so I'll called Home Depot.
The first person I talked to on the phone told me I would have to bring it back to the store, so I loaded it in the trailer and went to the store. After I got there, the next person told me that Home Depot doesn't service the snowblowers, and that they would need to send it out to get fixed. Better yet, my brand new snowblower would take 4-6 weeks to get back -- perfect way to start a winter in WI. They asked me if I wanted to send it in for service, as if I had an option.
Fast forward a couple weeks, getting anxious, I contact Home Depot again. Now they tell me that it takes 6-8 weeks. After they checked the repair status, they told me it was actually already repaired and sent back to the store. That person figured in the next week it would be ready for pick up, so I waited another week.
A week and a half go by with no response from Home Depot, so I checked again. This person told me that with the holidays it could be another 2-3 weeks before its back to the store (this would put it towards the middle of January). Now at this point, Home Depot had me believing they sent it back to Ariens for repair. Ariens is based out of Brillion, so that should be less than an hour away. I tried contacting Ariens, but got no response until I tried posting a negative review on Home Depot's site. At that point, I finally got feedback from Ariens -- apparently Home Depot does NOT send the snowblowers back to Ariens for repair, but rather to a Home Depot service center (per the invoice I eventually received).
Then all of a sudden, Home Depot called me the end of December and said my snowblower was ready to pick up. While it was nice that I didn't have to wait any longer, I find it pretty ridiculous that no two people at Home Depot seem to understand how the process works. The only reason I'm not giving a lesser rating is because generally Home Depot is fine, but this was a terrible customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEVERY. SINGLE. TIME. that I come to this specific Home Depot something is messed up.
We recently bought a home, and we are fixing it up (which is very stressful and takes a lot of time). The employees at this Home Depot have continued to screw things up repeatedly every time we go there.
For example, we bought 6 gallons of paint for our entire home (to start), and after putting half of the gallon on the wall, I realized it was the completely wrong color (I should have realized this sooner, I know), but come to find out, the employee who mixed up our 6 gallons didnāt even put this specific gallon in the color mixer AND he never even added anything to it⦠IT WAS THE BASE COLOR WITH NOTHING ADDED.
I also placed a large order for LVP flooring, and the color on display was not available at this specific store, BUT they told me that the Appleton East location had ā2,000 boxes in stockā⦠I drove to the other store, and they told me that they had none in stock, and the Grand Chute employee was looking at the warehouse stock. HOW DO YOU MESS THIS UP?!
Lastly, I have been placing pick-up orders to make things go smoother for this whole process (unfortunately it was not any easier), because the locker I opened had the wrong order in it, employees forgot my mulch in the order SO I had to turn around and go in again to grab that, and now today I did a curbside pickup, and after sitting in my car waiting for over 10 minutes I eventually went inside to get it because clearly no one was coming out..
The only employee that has been amazing and has gone above and beyond is the flooring employee at the Appleton East location (Lori or a name with an āLā, sorry I forgot what her name is). She offered to drive down to Milwaukee with me to pickup the flooring that the Grand Chute employees told me the Appleton East location had. Loved her!!!
Overall, Iām extremely upset with the customer service that this Home Depot has provided, and I cannot wait to be done renovating our home so that we donāt have to continue...
